Description

Named after the poet Rosetti, our Edwardian home is our passion. We do our best to be sympathetic to our period property while also reflecting our personalities - for better or worse! If you're looking for Swedish Minimalism that isn't us, but our quirky Arts and Crafts style reflects the two friendly chaps who live here. We enjoy our food, our garden and our home and invite you to share that space with us for what we hope will be a comfortable stay in a large room. The space The large bedroom is the former master (before the loft conversion) and so offers plenty of space. You'll have access to the main bathroom with bath and shower (which we rarely use as we have an en suite to our own bedroom). You will be staying in our house. We work and live here with our cat, but the bedroom is laid out in such a way that guests staying have privacy and can spread themselves out. There is wardrobe space and drawers by the bed. The cat, Eric, is kept out of your room. Other amenities include mirrors, plug sockets, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer if needed. Guests will also have access to our Wi-Fi. Guest access You will have access to shared areas of our house and garden. We have a lounge and a "cinema room" or as we call it: "The Snug". We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and iPlayer set up on the TVs in both the living room and the Snug. We have an office space if needed, just let us know. The garden is lovely in summer and we have loungers and chairs for you to sit on and enjoy the space. The garden is very country cottage-inspired with over 40 years of love having gone into the planting scheme (the house has been in the family for a long time). You'll likely see a variety of birds and insects, squirrels and in summer Hedgehogs are regular night-time visitors. During your stay We know some guests just want a place to sleep and keep themselves to themselves, others are more social. We are happy to fit in around either. If you're visiting Bristol for pleasure we'd be happy (if we're free) to recommend you some of the sights. If you're visiting for work we are happy to offer advice about local places to eat, if you haven't asked to have meals with us, and provide recommendations for other activities or places to explore in the area. If you need to get in touch before arrival or please message us via the Airbnb app. When you're here, as we work from home, you can expect us to mostly be around and available in the house.. When you first arrive we'll give you a quick tour to help you get settled and ask you about your plans i.e. if you're just staying for work or doing the tourist thing in which case we'll be happy to provide recommendations if you don't know the area. We're happy for you to use our kitchen to prepare your own meals, or borrow items for a take-away brought in. Fridge space is limited as it's our home but if you need to put in a few items we should be able to make room. For a small extra charge, we can provide breakfast and evening meals. Please note that we will need some notice if you do want feeding so that we can plan meals. :) Other things to note We will provide a key so you can come and go. Ideally, you'll arrive at a time where we will be able to meet and greet you, and give you the tour. If you do need to arrive at odd hours, we have a lock box in which we can leave the key for you to access the house. However, this may not always be possible, so please do inform us of your arrival time in advance, especially if it's going to be at an unusual time. Please note: we have a cat - he's an old boy. Noting for any guests who might have allergies. Your room will be cat free but Eric is allowed around the house, and if you bring a dog please only do so if they are friendly with cats. As part of house rules we would ask you to be careful about ensuring you don't let the cat outside and if you're bringing a dog to keep them apart. All our doggo visitors so far have been great and very welcomed, but not always by Eric, so we tend to say generally keep dogs on lead except when in your room and this has always worked.
