Cute MCM cottage is located between Penn State and Raystown Lake. Small seasonal creek area behind cottage is perfect backdrop for campfires and lounging. Location along route 26 allows for easy access to the town of Huntingdon (4 miles south) or State College (25 miles north). This simple space includes washer and dryer, full kitchen, outdoor patio, free parking, and space for boats. The space One-story midcentury small cottage updated with new appliances and original hardwood floors. It is set on two acres of land with a seasonal creek. We are located along route 26, which makes it convenient for access to State college and the town of Huntingdon. The cottage is close enough to 26th that there may be some road noise. We have purposely kept the vintage mid-century character of this place, the cottage is not a brand new structure, so there will be some quirks. If you love vintage as much as we do, you will love the items we embraced. Among these retro elements is a functioning original Atari system for guests to play, a record player that plays vintage records but also connects to Bluetooth, and some classic board games throughout the space. NOTE: the creek does go dry in late summer, so it may look different than some of the photos depending upon the weather. Guest access You will have the entire cottage to yourselves, however, the garage with a separate entrance is off limits to guests and may be accessed by the hosts during your stay. Other things to note Please make sure that the guest number in your reservation reflects the total number of guests who will be staying at the cottage. Guest numbers that exceed the numbers in the reservation will be turned away and the reservation will be considered invalid. Any additional daytime visitors to the property will need to be approved by the hosts in advance. NOTE: the creek does go dry in late summer, so if you are coming for water recreation, Stone Creek is close by (not attached to our property) and is a deeper option for kayaking, tubing , or fishing.
