Welcome to The Peggy Sue, a clean and cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom 1930s Tudor cottage brimming with charm, located just one block from where Buddy Holly and Peggy Sue went to high school together. The inviting living room features an indoor fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings. Both bathrooms have been fully remodeled with classic white subway tile, and all three bedrooms offer comfortable queen-size beds. For those working remotely, a dedicated workspace is available for your convenience. The large kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs, featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. We also provide a coffee maker with regular and Texas Pecan coffee, various teas, sugar, and creamer to start your day right. Families are welcome, and we provide a Pack ’n play/travel crib as well as children’s books and toys. Step outside to the spacious, fully fenced backyard—a shared space perfect for fun and relaxation. Enjoy the lovely deck and pergola, grill up a BBQ, or play a round of giant Jenga and cornhole. As evening falls, gather around the fire pit for cozy conversations. This home is full of unique character, from the beautiful original wood floors to the fun Buddy Holly glasses you can snap a picture with. Don't miss the 'Howdy Ya'll' fence painting by a local artist! Please remember, while updated, she is an old house in a historic neighborhood and has charming imperfections, like a few cracked kitchen tiles. Guest access As a guest of mine, you have full access to the house other then one locked closet in the bedrooms. There is an armoire in the bedroom to adjust for this. Other things to note Situated in a fantastic location near Texas Tech and restaurants, it's worth noting that this neighborhood is Lubbock's oldest. Many of the homes are gorgeous with historic curl-appeal. However, many are still being purchased by investors and being remodeled over time. Bookings by locals are strictly not allowed and will be canceled immediately upon conformation. Any evidence of smoking inside or outside the home (on the property) will result in a $150 dollar fine. Self-check-in is available. Driveway parking available and off-street parking as needed. See Location tab for additional details. 24/7 Security-camera/recording devices are installed on front door and in the back yard. This is a front house and a shared space/yard. There may be guests in the back house during your stay. For check out: you are required to take out your own trash and wash and put away any dishes you used during your stay. You can purchase and bring throw-away paper good/utensils if you don't want to have to wash dishes. Pet Policy: No Pets! Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 fine
