Description

Low Meadow Farms is a four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. New owners are beginning to transform the area into a food forest with a variety of fruit and nut trees and edible vegetation. The campground has many creekside, primitive camping spots that are shaded by trees and adaptable to multiple groups. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. A communal pavilion, shared city water spigot and a portable bathroom are on site. The space Campsite 11 is a nice grassy, shaded area that is bordered by Burnett Creek and private to the rest of the property. It does get a little closer to the main road, but foliage blocks the view in the summer and evergreen shrubs are being planted to help grow more privacy. A metal fire pit is at this site and a picnic table will be installed soon at this site. Several trees are suitable for hammock camping in this area, and it can accommodate ground tents. To access, drive over the culvert and continue past sites 8 and 9 on the left. Go over a little hill and drive left then straight to follow the sign for site 11. This area can get muddy after heavy rain. Some vehicles may not be able to drive to this area and will need to park about 50 yards away near the communal carport. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site. This site can accommodate 2 people. If you would like to add more to your group, we recommend also reserving another campsite - site numbers 8, 9, 10 (group site), and 12 are close - with 10 being the preferred addition. Guest access Guests have access to a shared portable toilet, a communal pavilion with picnic table and a shared city water spigot located behind the pavilion. Other things to note Our Campsites: Sites 1 through 11 are along the tree line that borders Burnett Creek. Site 12 is not on the creek and is up on a hill that overlooks the meadow. Lucky number 13 is located in the meadow across from campsite 5. Sites 1 and 2 are off the main path and have a grass/dirt access that can get muddy after a lot of rain. Sites 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 13 are easily accessed by a gravel road. Sites 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are located on a dirt/grass road on other side of a culvert - some vehicles may not be able to drive to this area and will need to park about 50 yards away next to the carport. There are metal fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Many trees are suitable for hammock camping in the sites along the river. Campsites are labeled by number from left to right upon entering the drive, except for 13 which is in the meadow across from site 5. Most sites can accommodate 2 people in order to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Potable water and a shared portable bathroom are on site.
