Guest access Guests of Casa Dunia have access to: - off-street parking inside the gated property (free) - gardens of Rancho San Eric - pool (shared with guests of Rancho San Eric homes) - beach (private shade and lounge chairs) Each guest room includes a key chain which contains: - the key to the front door of Casa Dunia - the key to the bedroom door - the key for the room safe - a circular key fob which opens the main gate of Rancho San Eric. Please leave each room's key chain hanging on its respective room's doorknob upon check out. We will charge 50 USD for each unreturned key / gate key fob. Other things to note NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL OF CASA DUNIA prior to check out, these are the items to be paid for IN CASH (MXN): - reimbursement for all grocery bills - tips you'd like to leave for our staff - any other additional charges (if you would like extra hours of AC / if you would like all 3 meals a day / etc) AVERAGE GROCERY BILL an average grocery bill for a group of 10 is about 3,500 - 5,000 MXN per day. please keep in mind that this is only an estimate and varies, depending on the menu items you choose, and the alcohol you ask us to purchase. TIP ESTIMATE  tips are not included in the rental of casa dunia.  stefan will give you a more specific breakdown of suggested tips when you are here, when he settles the grocery bill with you, but historically, a group of 10 would tip a total of about 2,400 MXN per day for all the staff (housekeeping + kitchen). ========== CHEF SERVICE chef service is included daily for breakfast + lunch OR breakfast + dinner. provided only for the guests accommodated in casa dunia. guests pay for all groceries. once your reservation is confirmed (with a signed rental agreement), arrival information will be sent to you, including sample menus. prior to arrival, i will communicate with you to confirm: - a pre-stock grocery list (for any drinks / snacks you would like the home stocked with when you arrive) - welcome dinner menu (for the night you check in) - standard pantry items you would like set out for breakfast each morning (seasonal fresh fruit platter, fresh juice, cereals, yogurt, granola, toast, coffee, etc) - a list of hot items we can rotate through throughout your stay (one hot item for the group each day) all meals are prepared and served buffet or family style, so you should choose one menu for the group -- we are unable to provide meals a la carte, but we can provide substitutes for any guests who have dietary restrictions / allergies. you're also welcome to ask for more groceries throughout your stay. please keep in mind that we go shopping in the mornings, so you should get your shopping list to us by the evening prior. once you arrive, you (or another member of your group) will be in touch with my husband, stefan, daily regarding any grocery items and the meals for the next day. he will also give you updates throughout your stay regarding your grocery bill. prior to check out, he will settle the bills with you. ========== AIR CONDITIONING available only in the 5 bedrooms, operational only at night (8pm - 9am). if you would like additional AC hours, please request more information. ========== BATHROOMS - liquid hand soap in a dispenser at the sinks - 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel and hair conditioner in the showers - decanter of bottled water (agua cristal) refilled daily by housekeeping ========== BOTTLED (PURIFIED) WATER we provide complimentary bottled water (agua cristal) in a hot/cold water dispenser in the kitchen. there are also glass decanters in each bedroom with the same water, which our housekeeping staff replenish. ========== LAYOUT OF CASA DUNIA Walking through the front door, you will find an equipped kitchen. Passing this, are four stairs leading down to the main living and dining areas where glass doors open out to the top of the sand dune where the home's spectacular patio is located, with outdoor living and dining areas offering spectacular views of Mexico's Caribbean Ocean. From the patio, there is a short staircase leading down to the beach, where guests will find shade and lounge chairs. Four guest bedrooms are located inside the home. On each side of the indoor living / dining space, there are two bedrooms (one on the ground floor, and one directly above it). The master bedroom is accessed by a spiral staircase next to the front door.
