Heart's Content Bed and Breakfast
Description
Located 3 blocks from the waterfront, in downtown Charlottetown and on a tree filled park a short walk from the best eating places, boutiques, theatres and historic sites so park at the door and stroll through our peaceful, historic neighbourhood with ease. Sit and enjoy the quiet of our back garden. If your group consists of more than 1 person you have access to a second bedroom across the hall sharing the bathroom. We are government inspected and operate under Licence # 1200222. The space This upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, some antique pieces , vintage prints, knick-knacks and has the added convenience of its own ensuite washbasin/vanity. The 4 piece bathroom on this floor is shared with the occupants of a similar room across the hall with queen size bed who will only be members of your group and not strangers. There is wifi and a flat screen TV in bedrooms as well as in the lounge downstairs. Off the kitchen/dining area are two private decks. One partly covered, with table and chairs suitable for dining and quiet reading, the other open and overlooking the garden, has a swing. Guest access In addition to your bedroom and the shared bathroom (again, only shared with members of your group) you have access to the sitting room and dining area. In the morning, the kitchen does not open to guests till 8 am and it is then available only after 11.30 am for preparation of lunches or snacks. This is after the continental breakfast has been served and cleared and some dishes, utensils and equipment become available but use of the stove or oven for the preparation of meals, is not permitted. Guests may use only the microwave. The occupants of both bedrooms can store food items in the fridge but dishes etc should only be rinsed as I prefer the washing up to be left for me to attend to. During your stay I live in #236, the apartment next door to #238 so am accessible and willing to provide advice about what to see and do while guests are on the Island. I am often at work in my part of the back garden and guests willing to assist with weed-pulling are always welcome! Other things to note Part of the B and B experience is getting to know the host at breakfast time and share information. Breakfast is not cooked- there is a choice of tea, coffee and juice, toast, muffins, cold cereal, yogurt and fruit and accommodations for dietary restrictions should be shared with me before booking to avoid disappointment.
