Charming Room on Rock River

We love to share our lower level space with guests! We find our older home charming and comfortable for any traveler. The river view is relaxing, either from inside or hanging in the hammock (if weather is cooperative!). Our neighborhood is friendly and quiet, and we are only a few blocks away from the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and a mile from downtown. The space Your reservation includes access to the lower level kitchenette, bathroom, living/dining area, and one private bedroom. The living/dining area is shared and includes a TV with Roku, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, cooking plate, blender, and various utensils and dishes. No sink in the living/dining area. Shared bathroom is small and is older; has a shower, sink, and toilet. WIFI is available. If you are staying longer and need to prepare meals, you are welcome to use our upstairs kitchen space. Just know that we also utilize this area. Above ground firepit, hammock, and grill available for use per request. We do not have a dock, but you are welcome to bring fishing poles, kayaks, etc, as we live directly on the river. We are about 0.5 miles from a public landing. If you'd like to bring your pet(s), please request approval. We'll want to know a bit more about your pet before s/he stays with us! We live in this home and have young children and a dog. We may enter the lower level to clean or do laundry. Our dog has no access to the lower level. You will hear and see the hustle and bustle of an active family's life! Guest access The lower level is mostly used by guests. During your stay, we will only enter the space to clean and do laundry and/or refresh towels and linens (or upon your request to take care of something). For longer stays, you may request to use the upstairs kitchen and/or bathroom, as well. We do spend most of our time on the main floor. The uppermost (3rd) level of the home is not for guest use. That is our private space. During your stay We live in the home, so pretty available for questions or socialization. We have busy work schedules, so likely will only be around in early morning or evening times. On weekends, we are around most of the time; likely spending time on the deck in warmer months! Other things to note Just a note - we marked amenities that we have available throughout the home. If it is marked but you do not see it in the lower level space, just ask! For example, you may want to clarify or confirm prior to booking if you are going to need use the full kitchen upstairs (which does have all the typical kitchen supplies) or child-related items. We are hoping that you enjoy the comfort, quiet, and cleanliness of our home’s simplicity. It is an older, less modern home with a lot of character!
