Stone cottage Dordogne/Lot border with lovely pool

Gite du 1888 is a fully equipped, stylish, two bedroom detached stone cottage with outdoor terrace and its own private garden. The pool is shared with the owners who take a dip when not in use by the guests. Come enjoy the peace and quiet. Set on the edge of a small hamlet this 18th century cottage is 2.5 kms from shops, an excellent bakery and two superb butchers. It is 12 minutes by car from the medieval city of Gourdon, with its gourmet dining, ancient cobbled streets and Saturday market. The space Detached stone cottage with private, off road parking, private garden, shared pool and adjacent meadow for picnics and star gazing. Large, secluded patio with lighting and outdoor dining (perfect for our long summer days), leading through French doors to a large open plan ground floor living space with fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room. Upstairs to the landing there are two spacious double bedrooms, one with a kingsized bed, the other with two single beds that can be made into another king sized bed if required. Separate loo and modern bathroom with shower complete the upstairs. The stairs in the cottage are very steep and not suitable for under 5 year olds. Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday only during July and August. Guest access Private access to the cottage and its own garden that is edged partly fenced. The laundry room is attached to the owners residence next door and you are welcome to use it. The pool is down a small path round the back of the barn away from the road. The meadow is next to the pool. Other things to note The stairs in the cottage are very steep and not suitable for under 5 year olds. There are a few books, toys and games (indoor and outdoor) available for children to use during your stay. Booking are from Saturday to Saturday during July and August.
