My little house in St Jean.

Welcome to St Jean! This small house with its small swimming pool full of charm, quiet and authentic, is only 30 minutes from the beach and coves of Leucate, and 10 minutes from the river for good swims. We have everything here or nearby. You will discover our famous wines (Castelmaure among others), our olive oil, our honeys, our goat cheeses... This place is great for all hikes, including the nearby Cathar Trail (Durban). A little paradise! The space It's a house with exposed beams and whitewashed walls. Bedroom is upstairs with large ensuite bathroom. The view from the bedroom window is stunning. Downstairs is a kitchenette, a small dining area, and a living room with a library full of books and comics. A repeater to get Wi-Fi. And a nice little wrought iron staircase that leads to a terrace overlooking the vineyards, olive groves, and mountains... and a pergola with deckchairs, a table for eating outside. Several other terraces and gardens have been landscaped in the property for relaxation (shared gardens and small pool). In a small room very close to your cottage is a washing machine (shared with us) that you can use. Guest access You go to the fort parking lot, at the top of the village, by the Rue des Anciennes Écoles then the Rue des Remparts and following the small wooden signs marked "Le Fort". You will have access to Rue du Fort, where the cottage is located, 50 meters away. It's possible to bring the car in front of the cottage to unload. You have to exit in reverse (a little tight). -The house is unsuitable for people with reduced mobility because there are several steps to access the ground floor, and a staircase to go to the bedroom -The house is unsuitable for children because of sheer walls. Other things to note - The house includes 1 bedroom for 2 plus a bed on the living room bed - There are several terraces and gardens to lie down, relax, read or dream in summer. In other seasons you can enjoy a good fire in the wood-burning stove. The house is also heated by radiators.
