The Orchard, golfing luxury near St Andrews

This stylish place to stay is perfect for group trips, particularly for families, golf groups and tourists keen to visit beautiful Scotland. The location is sufficiently close to the centre of Cupar to allow access to the shops, a supermarket, several restaurants and train station on foot. There are 3 more supermarkets within the town and easily accessed by car. The house is ideal also if some remote work is needed -- the wifi is fast and there is a dedicated workspace in bedroom 2. The space The house is just 30 years old and is on two levels, with a spacious dining room, stylish large living room, well-equipped hand-built kitchen and a mature garden and lawn with patio to sit out and enjoy the south-facing garden. The ground floor houses the living spaces, a shared bathroom (with bath & shower), a bedroom with king-size bed and next to it is the master bedroom with a super-king bed and ensuite shower room. Upstairs are two more spacious bedrooms - one is a super-king 4-poster bed and the fourth bedroom has twin beds (each 90cm wide) plus a daybed (handy for a young child to share with their parents or siblings). Guest access This is our home for about half of the year and so although the house is fully open for guests' use there are certain cupboards which are locked with our personal belongings or consumables. Please note that the large teak/glass cabinet in the dining room is not for access for guests and the items in that cabinet are not for use. However, the other teak buffet contains serving dishes, mats, napkins etc for your use, including spare tablecloths. Please feel free to read the books although we would prefer that you don't take them away. There are family games in the drawers of the coffee table and in the cupboard under the television. Other things to note Please take note of our other particular requests and rules: 1. No smoking other than in the garden 2. No candles indoors 3. Please respect our neighbours and avoid noise outside the house after 23.00 4. We try our best to recycle so please take a minute to see the system of bins used as this will vary from country to country, even from city to city. 5. Please do not use fake tan while in the house, and please remove makeup properly before using the white towels. 6. Pets are welcome but we must insist that they are never allowed on sofas or beds.
