In the heart of the historical village of Torno, a few steps from the lake, the port and the main square, we welcome you in Casa Castello. In June 2023 Casa Castello has been renewed and completely refurbished with particular attention preserving its original historical charm and the beautiful ancient stone walls. The house is an ideal starting point to visit the beautiful lake Como and the surroundings with their amazing views. The entire house is at your disposal for an exclusive use ! The space Casa Castello can accommodate up to 4 guests and consists of: - At the entrance level of the house, an open kitchen with small dining area as well as a separated toilet. - On the first floor a cozy and comfortable open living space with television and desk. - On the second floor, a double bedroom and bathroom with shower. - On the third level, a double bedroom and bathroom. Both bedrooms have a beautiful view on lake Como and are equipped with hotel beds to ensure a superior quality of sleep. The kitchenette is well equipped with accessories, dishes, appliances: n’Espresso coffee machine, water kettle, dishwasher, large fridge, gas cooking plate and oven. Bedlinen and towels are provided for the entire duration of your stay. The house is equipped with wifi and television. Casa Castello has been designed to welcome you in a cozy and comfortable environment. The house is for non-smokers only and pets are not allowed. Guest access As all houses in the historical center of Torno, Casa Castello is reachable only by foot but not by car. Several municipal parking lots are situated closely to the main road in the village. The distance to the house is approximately 3 min by foot, walking through the historical streets and the steps. As the house is only 100m of the port with the passenger boats, the house is also easily accessible by boat coming from Como. At check-in, you will have to pay the tourist tax. Other things to note Within walking distance you will find all the services you may need during your stay: small grocery store (Alimentari Luca), bars (Bar Pianta, Bar La Pliniana), restaurants (Belvedere, Vapore), pharmacy, take-away pizza, ATM (bank), fuel station, hairdresser and post office. The port bar (Bar Italia) is an excellent place to start the day with a real Italian coffee, to enjoy a tastful lunch after a hiking tour or simply watch the sunset over the lake while enjoying a delicious aperitivo.
