Inspired by Himalyan berries, Kaafal cottages are a bunch of domes in the shape, colour & texture of the berry, Kaafal. Imagined in India and built by European architects, this place was partially funded by Airbnb as winner of prestigious global OMG competition. Spacious Domes with 1 bedroom, sleeping area in attic, big living, and two pvt washrooms in each cottage. With a full time cook, you can order home style meals. 5-30 minutes drive from Makku temple, Chopta, Deoria Tal & Ukhimath. The space Cozy berry shaped domes having 1 bedroom with king bed, additional sleeping area for 2-3 adults in attic, spacious living area with a view, two private washrooms, a patio and a huge lawn. Dedicated work station. Pet friendly. Located in a quaint little village, Makkumath, in the Himalyan state of Uttarakhand. Heaven for bird watchers, trekking enthusiasts, anyone who loves nature would find the place an absolute bliss! Makkumath is also the winter home of Lord Tungnath, and is ideally located for you to explore Chopta Tungnath - Chandrashila and Deoria Tal Treks. Note that the cost mentioned on Airbnb is for stay only. We have a kitchen with full time cook, and the meals can thus be provided on paid basis. You can alternatively also explore local options for food ! We respect that everyone travels differently. While we’d love to host all guests, **Kaafal Cottages may not be the right fit if**: • You’re looking for malls, cinemas, or modern shopping nearby. We’re in a remote, forest-surrounded location with only small local stores. • You’re expecting pubs, clubs, or nightlife. Evenings here are about bonfires, music, and quiet garden gatherings. Hot water can be provided from kitchen in case of a power cut. The property is surrounded by forests on three sides. Please do not touch unknown plants or animals for your own safety. Please be mindful of the wildlife after dark. Kindly don't play very loud music for the comfort of other guests and the villagers.
