Description

Immerse yourself in nature in our much loved tiny house just 55 minutes from Melbourne and yet surrounded by the beautiful Australian bush. You’ll enjoy waking to the sounds of birds chirping. From the bedroom window you will most likely see kangaroos grazing in the morning. In the evening you can enjoy the brilliant sunsets and nature sounds from the back deck or cozy up in front of the fire. Unfortunately no children allowed due to open dams and semi-open loft space. The space THE INSIDE SPACE ● Books/games/magazines (great for rainy days!) ● A study desk/closet area ● Kitchen appliances (minus an oven) including cutlery, pots/pans etc. ● Nespresso machine with pods + milk ● Upstairs queen bed ● Super comfy 4-seater Plush couch (updated photos to come) - can be turned into a single bed or cozy double (just shy of a double bed size) ● Lots of storage baskets ● washing/drying available for stays longer than 4 nights ● WIFI can sometimes be slow - we recommend downloading your own movies before arriving. THE OUTSIDE SPACE ● A relaxing deck where you can take in the bush views and sounds while sitting on the outdoor sofas ● At night, enjoy stargazing or switch the fairy lights on for more ambiance ● Between May 1 - Dec 1, enjoy marshmallows by the fire YOGA Being on the same property as a neighbouring yoga studio, this tiny house accommodation has the added bonus of optional personal or group yoga classes, subject to availability. The light, airy and locally-popular yoga studio is a short walk away (200 meters). Regular yoga classes are held there, as well as one to one personalised yoga sessions. Please note that the accommodation price does not include a yoga class but you can contact me to be directed to the yoga studio booking information. Guest access The booking price is reflective of your stay at the tiny house itself, but you are free to walk around the 12 acres that has two dams, a deck out onto one of the dams (a great picnic spot!), a creek, and a couple of walking tracks, though this is at your own risk when it comes to hazards that come naturally with being in the bush i.e. slippery terrain etc. As such, a waiver will need to be signed if you choose to venture out on the property. You may choose to cancel the booking upon reading the waiver though, as Airbnb unfortunately does not allow me to send you the link for the waiver until the booking has been approved. ● Please note that depending on the road you enter from, you will either drive approximately 200metres on a dirt road or, if coming from the other way, approximately 2km on a dirt road. Other things to note ● While you will feel a sense of seclusion, the home doesn’t feel scarily isolated from the world as there is phone reception for most services, WiFi, a country town 7 minutes down the road, and is located on a 12 acre property that shares another house combined with a yoga studio (which you can see when driving into the property, but not once you’re inside the tiny home or on the deck, and it has separate access). The home is also situated parallel to a neighbouring driveway (separated by bush - as pictured) so from the kitchen and bedroom window you may see the occasional car driving past behind the trees and shrubbery. ● Please note that you may come across the land owner and/or yoga guests going for a walk around the property. They will respect your privacy and don't walk near the tiny house itself. Occasionally there are yoga retreats where guests stay on the other side of the property in two large bell tents. You will not see where they are staying unless exploring the land as it's on the other side of the hill. ● As we designed and lived in this home for 3 years (1.5 with a baby/toddler!), there are some cosmetic imperfections but we don’t feel they detract from the experience you will get to have here. ● Please note that the toilet follows ecologically sustainable principles - an eco-friendly compost toilet that is odourless (instructions will be provided).
