Santa Cruz Cabins provides a unique rustic tropical forest feel atmosphere with modern comforts while being close to local culture and restaurants. Each spacious cabana has a private entrance, secluded on 9 acres of hillside in the Santa Cruz Area of Santa Elena, just an 8-minute drive to downtown San Ignacio town. With options to explore the neighborhood or relax and enjoy the views in peace surrounded by nature. The space Each cabana has a treehouse feel, leveled with a canopy of many different species; trees, birds, and plants with views of the surrounding towns and villages. The Cabanas have black-out curtains, coffee, tea, internet, AC, a ceiling fan, a vanity area, a private bathroom (hot and cold water), a screened-in veranda with chairs, and a hammock to relax in. Just outside of Downtown San Ignacio, a short drive or hike to San Ignacio Welcome Center and the famous San Ignacio Market. Santa Cruz Cabins is convenient as your hub to all: Cayo District Mayan Archeology Reserves (Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, Caracol, El Pilar, Barton Creek Cave), ATM, Ziplining, Canoeing, Cave Tubing, Jungle Hiking, several cultural tours, and Horse Back Riding. We love animals and have five rescue dogs that will meet and greet you :) We recommend a 4x4-wheel drive if you are renting a vehicle (especially in the rainy season). If this cabana is not available, we have another Cabana located on the same property. Guest access Guests have access to walk the 9 acres of the property where they can identify medicinal tropical plants, birds, and trees on the premises. Other things to note The listed price includes government lodging tax. We do provide a cultural breakfast at your request for an additional fee. If you have an early tour, no problem. We only request you let us know by 6 pm the previous night. Your breakfast will be delivered: to your screened-in porch table at the time requested. Cleaning the cabanas; during your stay is by request only. When trash containers are full and need emptying, please let us know. We will happily remove the trash to provide you with a comfortable stay. We do not have a formal guest registration office. We kindly ask you to contact us (before arriving or when you are on your way). So we can greet you and show you to your cabana:) If this cabana is not available, we have other cabanas located on the same property.
