It's rare to find a place that's both historic and one-of-a-kind. Located 2 minutes away from Land of Little Horses farm park. Our property offers two mile long private walking, fishing trails along marsh creek, outdoor firepit and regulation size basketball hoop. Minutes to downtown Gettysburg. Beautiful trout streams and Wi-Fi included. Steeped in American history, this charming property stands as a testament to the tumultuous era of the Civil War, echoing the stories of a significant past. If these walls could speak, they would regale you with tales of battles and resilience. Through the graceful windows, you can glimpse the "Sycamore Witness Tree," an enduring sentinel that has stood tall since the war—an extraordinary survivor from a bygone era. Amidst this historic backdrop, the property encompasses five acres of meticulously maintained lawns and gardens, offering a serene space for outdoor activities and relaxation. A delightful swing set dangles from the venerable sycamore tree, bringing joy to both young and old. The property features an office, a sprawling lawn for recreational fun, a swing set, and a propane grill, providing plenty of room to soak in the historic charm of Adams County during your stay. Step outside, and nature's wonders unfold before you. The tranquil creek, with its sparkling waters, serves as a soothing companion to your retreat. Its gentle current invites leisurely strolls along its banks, perhaps an opportunity to dip your toes and feel nature's refreshing embrace. This creek is a sanctuary for wildlife, offering glimpses of curious deer going about their daily routines. Venture further, and you'll discover an intricate network of winding trails that meander through the property’s enchanting woodlands. These trails beckon explorers of all ages, promising hidden treasures and delightful surprises at every turn. Whether you're an enthusiastic hiker in search of a challenging trek or simply seeking a peaceful woodland walk, these trails cater to all. As you navigate the lush forest, dappled sunlight filters through the leaves, casting an enchanting spell that heightens your sense of wonder. For those with a competitive spirit or a love for outdoor games, the property offers a variety of delightful options. Gather your friends and family for a friendly match of frisbee, badminton, or cornhole in the expansive fields. Laughter and camaraderie blend seamlessly with these outdoor pastimes, creating the perfect recipe for unforgettable memories. As the sun sets, consider a cozy bonfire by the creek, where stories are shared, and marshmallows are toasted to perfection. In this idyllic setting, the property becomes a haven for both relaxation and adventure, with its creek, trails, and outdoor games. Here, you can reconnect with the beauty of the great outdoors, rekindle your sense of wonder, and create cherished moments that will linger in your heart long after your visit has concluded.
