Stay right by the famous sacred red bridge in the atmospheric heart of Nikko, a minute's stroll from the Toshogu shrine and temple complex entrance. Enjoy river view from room and walking access to nearby restaurants. Take a relaxing bath whilst gazing out at the flowing river. The space The property and rooms are stylishly rustic with exposed wood beams, plush carpet and modern amenities. At night open the window right by the bed and drift off to sleep with the sound of the river. The cafe/bar downstairs is generally closed during weekdays but you have access to the garden-terrace area if you walk around the property between the iron fence. Guest access There is one other guest room in the property. The only shared spaces are the stairs to the 2nd floor, and the river-view patio terrace behind the building. Your access is not via the cafe/bar so you have privacy. In the case that the cafe/bar is open when you stay it will close at 10pm (last orders 9:30pm) so there is no noise disturbance to you. Other things to note I advise going to a restaurant early or calling to reserve between 6pm and 7:30pm because Nikko closes early at night. There are excellent restaurants only 2 minutes walk (see our guide). If your first choices are not available GUSTO family restaurant (8min walk) on Main Street closes at 10:30 pm every night and has food and alcohol. There is a 24 hour Family Mart convenience store in the same direction (14min walk). The route to explore the main shrines and temples starts with viewing the magnificent Shinkyo bridge then climbing some stone steps into the forest area. This is right on our doorstep so you are well located. The bus stop to the Lake Chuzenji area is only 1 minute walk away, and is the same stop to get off at if you come to our inn from the station area.
