This beautiful studio is located on Simonton Lake in Elkhart. It's an adorable 400 sq ft apartment with a million dollar view and amazing sunrises. Simonton is a quiet lake perfect for boating, fishing, and swimming. Whether you are visiting the area for pleasure, business, or to catch a college football game, our place is an excellent choice with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and amazing outdoor spaces. Perfect for a couples retreat, solo adventure, and Notre Dame parents, alumni, and fans. The space The lake is beautiful whatever the season. Sunbathe, swim and float in the summer, enjoy the beauty of the fall foliage & spring flowers while kayaking the calm water, or enjoy the crisp air and picturesque backdrop with ice on the lake. This is the perfect location! Although it is a peaceful, quiet retreat away from the hassle of Notre Dame/South Bend traffic, it is convenient to everything! The studio is close to restaurants and bars, the 80/90 toll road, parks and beaches in the summer, and snowmobile trails in the winter. There is typically only room for one car to park, but arrangements may be made for multiple cars with prior notice. Guest access This is the (private) basement unit of a home occupied by the owner. You will have your own entrance and the unit comes with a full kitchen, all appliances, private bathroom, and free washer and dryer. You will also have access to the outdoor screened-in patio and shared beach space at the edge of the lake. The fire pit, kayaks, and paddleboard are available for your use. Note that the owner may be on the property at various times throughout your stay. Other things to note Please do not book this property if you are looking for a place to have a party or large family gathering. This is a residential home and neighborhood. Any violation of this and you will be asked to leave. This is a studio apartment. While it can fit four adults with the sofa bed, there is no divider between rooms. Note that there is a very friendly dog on the property with an invisible fence, who you may meet during your stay. Pets may be welcomed in the unit with further review. This is a lake property and alongside all the good that brings, it also involves geese. Canadian Geese are federally protected, which means that we cannot forcibly relocate them. We have implemented windmills, sound devices, and laser pointers to some success, but the geese are still active in the area. While we do everything we can to pick up their droppings, we cannot guarantee that it will not be on the property.
