Relaxing Country Getaway Near the Finger Lakes Unplug and unwind at our peaceful country home surrounded by nature, yet close to the best of the Finger Lakes region. Hike trails in Cinnamon Lake State Forest, visit the Corning Museum of Glass, or explore Watkins Glen’s waterfalls. Try your luck fishing at Catherine Creek, or enjoy a quiet night under the stars. Our friendly cat, Chloe, will stop by to say hello! Perfect for families, couples, and anyone craving rest, adventure, and cozy comfort. The space Cottage has living room, kitchen, breakfast nook, bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with twin on top/double on bottom and a twin trundle bed. Property borders Cinnamon Lake State Forest with over 1700 acres to explore. You can walk the 33 acre property, through fields and forest, and view the pond animals, horses, deer and other wild life. Enjoy reading on the deck, playing outdoor lawn games, making s’mores at your campfire or jump in the car for a quick trip to Corning or Watkins Glen. Please note this is the country so we have dirt roads, sometimes late night animal sounds and we run off a well. The well sometimes has a mineral smell to it. We had it tested and it is safe to consume but we will supply the cottage with drinking water if the smell is present. IMPORTANT: If there is snow on the ground, you must have an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle to get out of our driveway. Guest access Guests may access full living quarters of cottage but not other buildings on property including main house, barn or garage below cottage. Other things to note Active family with pets live in main house next to cottage. You may hear kids, dogs and horses throughout the day. The cat is super friendly and will always want to visit with you.
