Charming lakefront vacation home on the beautiful west shore of Shawano Lake. Enjoy the warmth and beauty of the Knotty Pine interior for a true northern cabin feel. The space Four-bedroom lakefront home located at the end of a quiet street, perfect for dog walks and bike rides. Three private bedrooms and a forth kids bunk room in the back with 4 beds. The house features a large dock with fishing bench and space to dock two boats, shallow sandy beach perfect for young kids, breezy patio reading room, fire pit, and long driveway with room for up to 4 cars plus an additional vacant lot across the street for boat trailer and overflow parking. Two charcoal grills on concrete patio. Panfish, bass and an occasional northern pike have been caught from the fishing area. "Dockfish" (small pan fish) are abundant directly off the dock to provide great entertainment for your junior fishermen. ** PLEASE NOTE that bed linens and towels are NOT provided. Kitchen towels are provided and beds include pillows and bed covers/blankets but you must supply your own sheets, pillowcases, and personal towels. ** Please note that pets are welcome for an additional $40 cleaning fee but dogs are NOT to be left off leash at any time during your stay. Other things to note Sorry but we currently do not provide towels or bed linens. Local attractions: - Shawano Lake is a large (3 miles by 8 miles) clear water lake perfect for fishing (pan fish, bass, northern and walleye pike, crappie and muskie all abound), swimming, boating, water skiing, and jet skiing in the summer. World renowned duck hunting in the fall. Ice fishing, snowmobiling and ice sailing in the winter. The lake bottom grows a variety of soft grasses and weeds that tend to occasionally float in and gather around the dock but the lake bottom otherwise is very sandy and the water is clear. - Boat launch is available at head of Cattau Beach road (1/2 mile from KP). American Marina right off Cattau Beach provides jet ski, speed boat, fishing boat, and pontoon boat rentals, private boat repair, equipment, and on-lake boat refueling. - Dining: Everything from all major fast food brands to steakhouses, BBQ, home cooking, Italian Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine is available in Shawano and surrounding communities. Multiple on-lake eating and drinking establishments offer dock facilities and snowmobile parking. - Shopping: Unique boutiques and gift shops, major chains (Walmart, Walgreen, ALDI, Family Dollar), large local grocery and hardware stores, and a host of convenience stores are available in Shawano ( 2- 4 miles) - Shawano County Park: Swimming area, large boat launch, pavilion, and playground. (4 miles) - Golf courses: Shawano Lake Golf Course (4 miles), Golden Sands (8 miles) many others in area. - ATV: Wisconsin DNR trail-head in Suring (17 miles). ATV on the Shawano Lake ice from KP back door all winter.
