El Cerro is a private solitude all its own, completely fenced and electronically gated. The entire property is yours to roam and discover. From our orchard at the front to the dozens of trees around the property, you will have plenty to see, smell, and taste. Come in the summer and you will be drowning in mangos! Walk to town and the beach or stay on the estate and lounge in your private pool shared by three beautiful homes, all with unique amenities and spectacular views. Wonderfully landscaped and maintained, you will be able to enjoy the luxurious renovation of this lovely vacation destination. The property sleeps 16 beds. Baby pack-and-play is also available in each house. The maximum number of guests is 16. No smoking in the houses, no student groups 25 years or younger. When you rent this property, you rent the whole facility. Events are allowed with an additional event fee and require a minimum 5-night stay, however, no events are held at Pool House. The pool house has air conditioning. You'll have exclusive access to the entire 30 acre estate. Pool is for everyone on property and not for anyone staying at other places. A full-time property manager is housed on the back side of the property so guests will never feel as if their privacy is invaded but help will be close by if the caretaker is needed. The property overlooks the neighborhood and town of Esperanza (meaning hope). Esperanza shows the history of the island's sugar plantation industry from the early 1800s. Historic trains and buildings are located at the entrance to Esperanza. At the waterfront, you can walk the malecón (boardwalk) and look around the bay where ships would come to collect the sugar. The original pier from the sugar mill era still stands and it makes a fun spot to jump off or great snorkeling underneath. The neighborhood also hosts a fun park, baseball field, and new bakery! Esperanza is a main hub for the island- whether you want to eat, beach, or meet here for your bio bay tour, you will be within a mile of all of it when staying at El Cerro (the hill). And you will be looking over it all from the luxury of our verandas or private pool. We recommend renting a vehicle to get around the island and property with Your final bill will include the required PR room tax of 7%.
