Welcome to "Kod dva kestena", a house located in the heart of the Ovčarsko Kablarska gorge. This quiet and comfortable house is located on a beautiful peninsula in the middle of Lake Medjuvrsje, which is located between picturesque mountain slopes. The house has direct private access to the shore of the lake itself, which offers a nice place for fishing, barbecue or simply for relaxing. The house is in a quiet location, because it is not close to the main highway, but it is still well connected to all the important places in the area. The space In 5 minutes by car you can reach "Ovčar Spa ", a natural reservoir with thermal pools and wellness facilities. In the other direction, a 10-minute drive will take you to the city of Čačak with plenty of shopping and cultural options."Kod dva kestena" has 4 rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a terrace, two porches. The house can accommodate up to 10 people if two people sleep on floor beds/sofa beds. (There are 3 double beds for two people, 2 single beds, one sofa that folds into a floor mattress for sleeping, as well as one inflatable floor mattress). The house is ideal for couples, families with children or small groups of travelers. The house offers a beautiful view of the lake from every room. In front of and behind the house there is a huge garden. In addition to the main terrace, there are also front and back porches where chairs and tables can also be set up for dinner or drinks. Guest access The house is located in the middle of the peninsula on Lake Medjuvrsje. When driving from Čačak in the direction of "Ovčar Banja", after the dam in Medjuvrsje, you should turn right at the curve of the highway called "Pejčina krivina" and drive uphill on the peninsula. There is only one peninsula on Lake Medjuvrsje, so we hope you will not miss this uphill road. When you are on this road on the peninsula, you will pass the wooden sign "Munjino sokace", and just continue straight on the road, until you see on the right a red wooden fence with a wooden door and a large tile roof at the entrance. There you will also see a wooden sign with the inscription "Kod dva kestena" hanging at the entrance. It's also the location of the house. "Kod dva kestena" can accommodate up to 8 people and is ideal for couples, families with children or small groups of travelers and families. The house is located directly along the shore of the lake and offers a beautiful view from every room. In front of and behind the house there is a huge garden, one main large terrace, as well as a front and back porch where chairs and tables can also be set up for dinner or drinks. Room 1: The attic room has a separate entrance with stairs from the front porch, two windows (one of them overlooking the lake) and a large double bed for two people. This room also has two closets, as well as a desk with benches. Room 2: Room on the middle floor with terrace: This is the largest room in the house. It has a large double bed for two, a desk with a workspace, and a rocking chair. This room also leads to a large terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and a large table. Room 3: Second Room on the middle floor: It has two separate bunk beds as well as a desk with a wonderful view of the lake in front of it. Room 4: Ground floor room: This is the ground floor room next to the kitchen. It has one sleeping sofa that is suitable for one or two people. In that room there are also all the garden chairs and sun loungers that can be used for the courtyard overlooking the lake. Kitchen: Dining table, workspace, double fridge, induction hob. Toilet: There is a sink, a bidet, a shower with a small bathtub as well as a washing machine. Parking space: In front of the main door there is a parking space for one car. In addition, one or two more cars can be parked in the front of the garden behind the gate. Key instructions: The keys to the main entrance will be placed in a black box with a code. This key safe is located within the main door on the right. The opening combination will be sent to you by email. After you open the main door, you will find all the other keys to the house hanging on the wooden coat rack on the left wall in the first entrance hallway. At the end of your stay, please return the master key to the key safe and the other keys to the cabinet on the wall of the hallway where they were. Thank you! Garbage disposal: There's a plastic trash can in the toilet, and there's another bigger plastic trash can in the kitchen under the sink. Additional plastic garbage bags are also located in the kitchen under the sink. Please dispose of full garbage bags in the main garbage container located on the main road at the very curve at the beginning of the peninsula. When you leave the road on the peninsula, the garbage container is directly there on the right. Thank you! Other things to note An additional possible offer for guests is the optional use of a double kayak for an additional price of €5 per day. Cultural and sports activities in the area: Art and culture: The house is located in the middle of the "Ovčar-Kablar" gorge, which is also close to the main Balkan ethno music festivals that are held regularly every year. Guča, the world-famous Balkan brass festival and trumpet competition, Pranjani, the Balkan violin festival and the violinist virtuoso competition are 30 km away. Prislonica, the Balkan flute festival and the competition of folk musicians of the Serbian flute are 30 km away. Čačak is the first city nearby and offers many cultural facilities, theater, cinemas, as well as many festivals and concerts. Monasteries: "Ovčarsko-Kablarska" gorge is known in Serbia for 13 medieval monasteries under the protection of UNESCO, hidden in the gorge at a distance of 10 km from the house. All monasteries from the surrounding area are interwoven with rich history and unique frescoes older than 800 years. Sports activities: The slopes of the Ovčar and Kablar mountains offer many picturesque mountain paths for relaxing walks or advanced trails for people interested in mountain sports such as cycling, climbing or kayaking. Glass Lookout on Kablar: It is currently under construction until April 2024, and will soon present one of the best views in Serbia and the surrounding area.
