Our cosy, newly built spacious glamping pod is situated in the quiet village of Spean Bridge in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Spean Bridge is surrounded by lovely forests where you can walk or cycle and has stunning views. A perfect place to stay and relax or have an adventure in the Outdoor Capital of the UK. The space You will have the entire use of the Pod, decking and private secluded garden area. The large living space is open plan with WIFI, TV and a comfy sofa. A well equipped kitchen has a sink, hob, microwave/grill/small oven, fridge, coffee machine, dining table and chairs . The bathroom has an electric shower and heated towel rail. A comfortable mattress on the ottoman double bed ensures a great night's sleep and has extra storage space within. Dine outside on the table and chairs or relax on the rattan corner sofa on the decking in the private garden. A complimentary gift basket will be waiting for you on your arrival with tea, coffee and shortbread, as well as a wee nip of whisky - "Slainte !" Other things to note Silver Birch Bothy is a 2 person, adult only dwelling and is not suitable for children/infants. We do not accept pets as we have 2 friendly dogs of our own. Spean Bridge has a small grocery store, a clothes/gift shop, a chemist and a variety of cafe's/restaurants serving delicious food. Fun activities including off road segway, archery, axe throwing and mini highland games are all available at The Wild Highland Outdoor Centre in Spean Bridge. The viewpoint at the Commando Memorial in Spean Bridge is a short walk away with stunning views of the surrounding area. If you enjoy walking, the Great Glen Way, the East Highland Way, Ben Nevis and the Grey Corries can all be accessed nearby. Nevis Range is 5 miles away where you can ski in winter, mountain bike down the World Cup downhill track or just take the Gondola to the top station and dine in the restaurant whilst enjoying the views. Fort William is 9 miles away and has a variety of shops, supermarkets and restaurants as well as a leisure centre and a cinema. The Glenfinnan Viaduct featured in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is 23 miles away. The Jacobite Steam Train runs from Fort William to Mallaig between April and October and crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct. There are good transport links with trains to Fort William, Mallaig and Glasgow and buses to Fort William, Inverness, Skye and Glasgow. We are en-route to the North Coast 500.
