Harmony Hill Sanctuary Cottage
Visit our non-profit farm sanctuary, meet our residents, hear their stories, and enjoy a beautiful night in our charming sanctuary cottage. *Please note, our cottage does not have plumbing or showers. Your fee not only supports our non-profit farm sanctuary, but also includes a private tour of the sanctuary grounds. Plus, a meet-and-greet with our residents, including alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats, and more - all enjoying their second chance at a life of harmony. The space Our quaint cottage - 240 square feet - sits at the edge of the farm sanctuary with a spectacular view of the green pastures, pines, and sunset. Please note - though our cottage provides an elevated camping experience, it does not have plumbing or showers. Harmony Hill Cottage accommodations: - Airy and stylish modern farmhouse interior decorated with pictures of our residents. - First-floor couch with full-size sleeper. - Queen-size mattress in the cottage loft with ladder access. - Fresh linens on the beds upon arrival. - A café table with stools for two situated at the window for breakfast with a view. - Kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, and a Keurig coffee maker with various coffees and teas. - Refrigerator with a supply of bottled water for drinking. - Glass water and wine glasses, large platters, microwave-safe dishes, disposable plates, bowls, cups, silverware, and napkins. - Dry sink with a water pump for handwashing (no potable water, no shower). - Porta-potty within ten feet of the cottage (no plumbing). - Air conditioning or fireplace heating unit (depending on the season). - A Large ceiling fan. - A front porch with seating for two to watch the sunset and listen to the sounds of the sanctuary. - A small, tree-encircled grove illuminated with string lights and complete with a large picnic table for outdoor eating. - Parking for your vehicle next to the cottage. - A house manual provided for your reference. - The cottage is best suited for 2 adults guests, but can sleep 4. Guest access Join us each day of your stay for a sanctuary tour to meet our residents (or offer up your time to help with feeding and chores). In the evening, join us for a campfire and dusk-to-dark pasture view while our residents graze. You can walk through the sanctuary grounds to observe the residents between 9 am and 8 pm. Please be mindful that the sanctuary is our resident’s forever home. They should be left undisturbed while you peacefully walk the grounds. Please refer to our rules which we strictly enforce. Spend your time relaxing in the cottage, watching the sunset from the porch, or taking a stroll around the grounds' perimeter on our half-mile trail. Walk through the pines, take in a panoramic view of the pastures and barns, or take a moment to reflect in our memorial garden (you may even spot the local gnomes in the woods…). At dusk, the fence lines are lit by solar light to illuminate the trail and bring a warm glow into the night. Other things to note Please note we are a working farm home to formerly homeless, neglected and special needs farm animals. This is not a petting zoo, this is their home. Humans are invited to observe and interact with them under our supervision. Our residents and your safety is our main priority.
