It's a beach neighborhood, some huge houses, some original bungalows, many vacation rentals. Pismo is about a mile north, closest restaurant is Old Juan’s Cantina. It is a 1-2 minute walk to the beach if you walk down Juanita and straight over the sand of the empty lot where Juanita meets the Strand. That big sandy area between the houses is where you walk to get back and forth to the beach. Also, we are near a State campground and along an estuary therefore there’s wild life... raccoons, ducks, skunks, herons, lizards, Osprey, garter snakes, occasionally Wile E. coyotes... Keep dogs on leash and attend to your kids. Wind carries sand, which constantly settle on things, even through an open window. We are tidy, but sand always wins! We are located half way between LA and SF. It’s a freestanding unit. You do not have to share the space with anyone. It is a self contained complete unit. Our mom was the prior owner. She was an antique milk bottle collector, A WWII Civil Air Patrol spotter, also into Airstreams. We have left a wall of her favorite California milk bottles. It's a great place and we love it. There’s a book to sign. We look forward to hearing from you! Local bus a block away. Close to Grover Beach train station and close to Oceano Airport. You can get a taxi from there if you don't have a car use Uber /Lift . There are small stores nearby, ATV rentals, shops, about 1.5 miles from downtown Pismo. Walk out the door, turn left, and you are steps from the ocean. This is an escape. You'll want to return! The beach is just a stroll away. Lots of wild-life nearby; keep your pet leashed due to wildlife. We walk to the beach and there are light beach chairs downstairs for shared use. NEW: Just added a Sand rinse-off area downstairs for you, your dog or kids feet! DOGS BY PERMISSION ONLY! Please note the rules for dogs: $50 dollars extra for second dog. Please be mindful when doing dishes, showering, etc. Please be careful and not wasteful of water. Please, if you use the heater, turn the thermostat down or off before you leave. DOG OWNERS- Crate your dog if you leave it indoors and you know it’s prone to anxiety. I leave my dog alone on deck, b/c she’s calm. You're the best judge of your dogs behavior.
