Stay in our newer primitive cabin decorated in hand curated western prairie style decor. Situated on a 20 acre farmstead shared with other guests, the park-like guest property is a separate parcel and entrance away from the host residence. Boasting abundant trees and creek, wildflowers, shaded relaxing area with hammocks, bird songs and bird watching opportunities, dogs, cats cattle and horses. Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, frogs croak (spring) Find us on Hipcamp for lower booking fees and instant booking. This is cabin is ideal for the guests and families with children or pets that enjoy a rustic experience and loves camping, think no Wifi, indoor showers, or running water and using an outhouse. We do have a power outlet, heater, and lights for comfort and convenience. We offer an outdoor homemade outdoor bathhouse warm shower and water spigot to fill water containers we provide or your own drinking water bottles. Our farm is a walking environment, parking is about 100 feet away, shower and toilet are about 200 feet away over mowed pasture ground. There are no cooking or bathroom facilities in the cabin just a shared porta potty, a container of washing water, drinking water from our well (bring a personal drinking water bottle), and a picnic table. We are very close to fast food restaurants or you can use our wood firepit or our camping stove. Ask about our propane firepit during burn bans. Burning wood is prohibited during burn bans (late July-September) or during high hot winds, propane fires are an acceptable alternative, we provide the appliance but not the propane. Cabin is equipped with a single top bunk and a double bed on the bottom and a double futon. Futon is best for children. We suggest you bring your own sleeping bags which is easiest, and a must to stay warm if overnight temps dip below 50. If you are not able to, we have you covered with sheets, blankets and pillowcases in the bunk bed drawers to make your own bed. The top bunk is the only exception, it is impossible to make, please bring a sleeping bag and sleep on top of the top bunk quilt. We provide a pillow and clean pillowcase. Leave the used linens in a pile for laundering, quilts stay on beds. Please note this is CAMPING near trees and creek which is habitat for a variety of insects, some of which sneak inside. This in unavoidable. We Provide herbal insect killer, but expect some bugs. Check out our photos and videos on insta #willowcreekretreat willow creek retreat farmstay Rural yet 2 miles from grocery store and fast food. Situated on a farmstead, separate entrance away from the host residence, guest space is on its own park-like 10-acre parcel. Peaceful and quiet, very relaxing midweek or weekends in the spring or fall. We may have other campers using another campsite on the property. Please note that mid-week, or non peak weekends you will most likely have the entire grounds to yourself or shared with only one other guest. Please do not knock on neighbor's doors looking for check in, let yourself in and make yourself at home. We are off leash friendly for supervised play. Dogs that do not have recall or are prone to wander must stay on a leash or tether. Dogs found unattended and wandering will be asked to leave with no refund. Animals may not be left on the property unattended at any time. We offer pony rides, farm tours, nature hikes, guitar camp fire sing along, our farm raised ground beef and steaks, farm fresh eggs, and Inflatable SUP rental to paddleboard Medical Lake 10 minutes away for additional fees. Message, text or call if needed. Very private and hands off otherwise after greeting. I do check in once a day on multi night stays. Very private location away from main house. We may have other campers using another campsite on the property. I am not available to help after 10 pm, arrive after 10 pm with that in mind. Rural feel yet close to town and grocery store. Lakes for swimming and fishing 10 minute drive away. Riverside State Park is 15 minutes away. Peaceful and quiet on non-holiday weekends. Lots of nature and farm sounds. Songbirds and rooster at dawn, crickets and coyotes at night. Occasionally you will hear noisy air traffic or train crossing the tracks, but it is rare. We may have other campers using another campsite on the property near the camper. Please note that mid-week and shoulder season, you will most likely have the entire grounds to yourself for a private experience. The property is next to an airfield so it is urban bright at night, by no means pitch dark. The Air Force base plays Reveille at 7 am, Star Spangled Banner at 5 pm and Taps at 9 pm on weekdays. Aviation enthusiasts will enjoy watching the variety of unusual aircraft and paratrooper drills. We are in the wild west and guns are common in our neighborhood, people target shoot and shoot predators attacking livestock including unsupervised wandering dogs, however there are no guns on the property listed. Due to livestock and coyotes watch dogs carefully when off leash. Car or bike.. nice Trails for biking or hiking nearby. Medical Lake with a swimming area and lake trail is a 10 minute drive away, Riverside State Park and the Spokane River is a 15 minute drive away. Parking is about 80 feet from the cabin. Please read the listing thoroughly, I do not issue refunds after arrival for anything mentioned in this listing. Please note that during hot summer days it is very hot inside the cabin during the day. Two hammocks are provided in the shade trees for daytime naps. Temps plummet after 7:00 p.m. and it's nice and refreshingly cool at night when we have normal daytime highs under 100. During a heat wave with highs over 100 the cabin will not cool off enough to sleep indoors. We recommend camping outside or a hotel during unusually hot weather. In the spring and fall, like camping, the cabin is not insulated and could get chilly at night if it gets below freezing outside. We recommend a hotel during unusually cold and windy weather. We have a very friendly large loud Coonhound name Charlie who greets visitors and lets us know someone has arrived. She is super friendly and submissive to guests and visiting dogs despite her loud bay. Her small companion Cricket has little dog syndrome and does not appreciate dog aggressive dogs or small children picking her up. We are in the wild west and guns are common in our neighborhood, people target shoot and shoot predators attacking livestock including unsupervised wandering dogs, however there are no guns on the property listed. Due to livestock and coyotes watch dogs carefully when off leash. If you have an unaltered male dog he may find my spayed female Coonhound irresistible, please keep intact male dogs on a leash or supervised with an e-collar so they don't follow her to my house. Dogs that do not have recall or are prone to wander will be asked to stay on a leash. Quiet time is 10 pm, as the property is shared with other guests and the owners live on site, please stay inside your campsite quietly with no music after 10 pm. If you arrive after 10 pm head straight to the cabin after a visit to the porta potty on the way in and make yourself at home. Since it's on a farm in a pasture, it is not white glove sparking clean due to field dust. Please note this is CAMPING near trees and creek which is habitat for a variety of insects, some of which sneak inside. This in unavoidable. We Provide herbal insect killer, but expect bugs. Our farm is a walking environment, parking is about 100 feet away, shower and toilet are about 200 feet away over mowed pasture ground. Not recommended for children under 6. Camping property ends at the creek, please do not cross the creek or the bridge across the creek. The rural area of our region is habitat for rodents, ticks (May and June only) and mosquitoes. Please do not eat inside the cabin or keep any food inside the cabin as not to attract rodents. If you eat or store food in the cabin, a furry friend may come for a visit and a snack. I have confirmed we do not have the species of tick that carry tick-borne diseases in our area. Cabin is equipped with bug spray for your convenience.
