The space A Private Luxury Retreat | Circa 1856 Honeysuckle Barn is more than a place to stay—it’s a destination. Set within 10 acres of exquisite gardens and rolling countryside, this beautifully restored bluestone barn offers complete immersion in nature, privacy, and comfort, just moments from the front door. Ideally suited to mid-week escapes, Honeysuckle Barn provides uninterrupted quiet for remote work, creative pursuits, or a restorative break from city life. Long weekends are highly sought after, and reservations are deliberately limited to protect the serenity and privacy of the setting. Thoughtfully pet-friendly by arrangement, the barn welcomes well-behaved dogs, ensuring no one is left behind. Originally built circa 1856, the 170-year-old barn has been carefully reimagined to honour its historic character while delivering contemporary comfort. Original stone walls and soaring proportions are complemented by refined inclusions such as heated bathroom floors, hotel-quality bedding, and a premium espresso coffee machine. Evenings are best spent either beside the wood fire, gazing through the expansive picture window across the tranquil landscape beyond or outside enjoying the garden. The former hayloft now accommodates two elegant bedrooms and a light-filled, beautifully appointed bathroom. Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining area invites relaxation, while the thoughtfully designed kitchen is fully equipped with a 3-in-1 combi microwave oven, dishwasher, generous bench space, and everything required for effortless dining at home. Outside, the grounds are a highlight in their own right. The English-style gardens unfold into a series of enchanting spaces. Pause by the pond in the Secret Garden, wander to the vegetable garden to pick seasonal produce, or simply enjoy the changing palette of roses, daffodils, tulips, and irises. Take a sunset stroll, enjoy a picnic, or relax beside one of the dams as the day fades. For food and wine lovers, nearby Kyneton is a standout. Explore the acclaimed cafés and restaurants of Piper Street, visit local wineries and distilleries, or bring home artisan produce to enjoy at the barn—enhanced by fresh herbs, fruit, and vegetables from the garden. The owners, Jennifer and Will, reside in the homestead on the property. With separate driveways and expansive grounds, guests enjoy complete privacy, with assistance available if needed.
