Lakehaven Lookout is a unique and family-friendly property that offers a nice break from the city. Located on beautiful Lake Palestine, this creekfront property provides a cove clean of stumps for enjoyable recreational water play. Excellent fishing opportunities abound on the lake, with tournaments hosted throughout the year. The house is spacious and uncluttered, so guests can make it their own. The wrap-around deck provides beautiful views of the lake's gorgeous sunrises, sunsets, and water. The space Lakehaven Lookout is a relaxing, roomy property for your family vacation, girls' trip, scrapbooking retreat, fishing trip, or quiet getaway. Each of the three bedrooms contains a queen sized bed, and one upstairs room contains a bonus bunk bed set with twin mattresses. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, smart TVs, bed linens, and pillows. Both bathrooms have showers with excellent water pressure, and a bathtub is located downstairs. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, and towels are provided. The downstairs features a spacious den with comfortable seating, a smart TV, wifi access, and a foosball table. The entertainment center houses board games, cards, poker chips, puzzles, books, and more for indoor fun. The walls are accented with photographs of beautiful Lake Palestine. Also downstairs is a bar area for extra seating & eating, a full-sized washer/dryer set, and a kitchen complete with everything guests need to prepare and cook any food they bring. Guests are treated to a welcome basket of seasonal goodies and are requested to write an entry in the house journal before leaving. The large wrap-around deck provides comfortable spots for outside dining or resting with beautiful views of the cove. A gas grill is provided for the visiting grill master, and the firepit offers a fun place to cook meals, roast marshmallows, or warm up on cool evenings. An outside storage box contains a cornhole set, horseshoes, frisbees, Spikeball, and other outdoor recreational toys. Lake floats and children's arm floaties are available. We highly suggest wearing water shoes in the lake to avoid injuries due to stepping on driftwood or other debris that might wash in. Guest access Guests at Lakehaven Lookout have access to free, uncovered parking and are respectfully asked to refrain from parking or driving on the grass. Guests have access to the entire house and yard. Property lines are fairly obvious, but specific boundaries are described in the property's Welcome Binder. Please respect the property and privacy of our neighbors. Guests have entrance points for access to the water. Once you have reached the open water, the lake is yours to enjoy. Again, please respect the neighbors' property and personal space. Guests have access to the POA's boat ramp, which is located only seconds away from the property. The combination to the ramp lock is provided inside the property and available upon check in. A visitor's card is provided in the Welcome Binder for guests to place on their dashboard for ramp access and parking. The card must be returned to the Welcome Binder before checkout. Other things to note The property is a uniquely built two-story house with many steps and transitions. It is imperative that guests familiarize themselves with the stairs and one-step transition indoors as well as the stairs and one-step transition on the outdoor deck. Running indoors or on the deck is not advisable. The owners are not responsible for injuries due to accidents on stairs, steps, and transitions. Because of the multi-level nature of the house and deck, the property is not ADA compliant and, therefore, not recommended for guests will mobility challenges.
