Description
Croeso i Hillbury. Wake up to a sea view in the peaceful hilltop village of Penrhynside. Hillbury’s raised position means stunning views from the house and garden that stretch along the North Wales coast, taking in the Clwydian hills, and across the sea to the Wirral. This cosy cottage is the perfect base from which to enjoy the attractions of Llandudno and Conwy, sandy beaches at Rhos and Colwyn Bay, and walks in the stunning mountain landscape of the Carneddau and northern Eryri (Snowdonia). The space Bedroom (upstairs) Enjoy a sea view from the moment you wake up, including spectacular sun rises if you’re an early riser. The bed is a double, with a spare blanket should you need it in the winter. Plenty of storage for clothes in the form of a double wardrobe (with hangers) and chest of drawers. There’s also a large standing mirror and a travel hairdryer available. Bathroom (upstairs) The bathroom is small, but does the trick with a really good power shower that’s always hot enough. Towels are provided, with spares available if you need them. Living room The perfect spot to retreat to in an evening, or if the weather gets a bit too North Walian. There is a two-seater sofa and armchair, plus a table and two-chairs for indoor dining. The living room has a Smart TV and plenty of books to keep you going, as well as scrabble and a deck of cards. In the winter months the log burner offers real warmth and cosiness. Entrance/office The front entrance doubles as a small home-office with sea-views to offer some consolation if you need to get some work done whilst here. I work from here so I can vouch for the quality of the wifi. There’s a solid desk and adjustable office chair, plus plenty of hooks and storage for coats and shoes. You’ll also find useful things like a hoover, broom, mop and ironing board tucked away in here. Kitchen The galley kitchen has all the amenities you’d need; large fridge freezer, oven with gas hobs, separate grill, and a washer-dryer. There’s plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans for you to use, and tea, coffee and milk (dairy and oat) are provided. Outdoor spaces At the side of the cottage is a raised deck which takes full advantage of the view along the coast; the perfect spot for outdoor eating, or an evening drink. There’s a table and four chairs here, some low lighting and a chiminea if it gets a little cool. The front garden offers similar views, so if you prefer to sit out here with the colourfu; flower border you’ll find deck chairs in the entrance hall. Other things to note Children As a small one-bed the cottage isn’t really set up for children I'm afraid.
