Private Chicago Getaway

Relax in a private basement suite with its own entrance in a quiet, historic, Chicago neighborhood. Walk to the Metra and be downtown in minutes while enjoying the comfort and privacy of your own cozy retreat. Please take the time to research where this neighborhood is in proximity to activities you may want to do in the city or the surrounding neighborhoods. I’m happy to provide approximate travel times & distance as well. The space **POSSIBILITY OF NOISE** I live upstairs with my dog. It’s possible you will hear him, me or both. I try very hard to be mindful of the noise we make and I respect quiet hours. Please keep this in mind if considering to book. You will have the entire basement to yourself with its own separate entrance. There is a full bedroom, bathroom and lounge space. There is a small dining table and two chairs. There is a mini fridge & freezer and a microwave. There are NO major appliances like an oven or stove. This is a BASEMENT, so the ceiling height and entryway are low. If you are tall, be mindful of your head! Guest access You are free to utilize the entire basement. YOU MAY NOT USE THE LAUNDRY FACILITIES (i.e washer, dryer). Please avoid any doors that are closed upon arrival. Other things to note **THIS IS A GUEST SUITE IN THE BASEMENT OF MY HOME. While it is separate & completely private, I live upstairs with my dog. The house is old so there is a possibility you will hear myself, my dog or both moving around. I respect the quiet hours I have set but sometimes movement is unavoidable, especially with an animal. Please keep your preferences in mind as you are considering the space. I recommend asking me about proximity to activities, or do your own research on where this neighborhood is in the city of Chicago. Guests should be 21 years of age or older. Early check in (at 12pm) and late checkout (by 2pm) is available for a $50 fee. No gatherings or parties of more than 4 people. Please observe quiet hours of 11pm-6am. Please do NOT stain the rugs, blankets, sheets, comforters, wash cloths and towels. Failure to keep the linens in good condition will result in a fee. No tampering with or disabling outdoor cameras. No tampering with or disabling smoke detectors. No tampering with or disabling the air purifier. Smoking of any type is strictly prohibited while staying at this property. We charge an additional $150 cleaning fee if smoking occurs anywhere on the property, plus the cost of any damages (e.g. damages from burn marks). No pets are permitted on the property at any time.
