The Bear Cabin - Glamping Near Denali

Spend a couple of days in a one of a kind alaskan experience. This cozy A-Frame best equipped for 2, is nestled in the heart of the Alaska Range near Denali National Park. You will be staying amongst the company of Wildthingz Dog Mushing, a professional sled dog race team and tour company, which can be a part of your experience! The space ••Please Read Full Description •• Welcome to the Bear cabin! this small A-Frame is 8x12 feet but is configured to be comfortable and have all the essentials you need for a cozy, glamping experience. there is a full sized bed and a roll out bed. There's a kitchenette that's fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, cooking oil, salt & pepper and more. We also provide coffee & tea fixings as well. There is a private outhouse pit toilet with water & soap for hand washing provided. There is a small solar setup up for charging small like phones and tablets, but it's limited for sunny days. there is NO running water - we provide clean drinking & washing water, but there are no showers. You can pay $5 for a shower at the Vitus gas station or RV Park just a couple miles up the road. They also have laundry. There is a little outdoor area with a hammock, fire pit and camp chairs. this stay is best for 2, but can accommodate a 3rd person. if you have a bigger group, ask us about our 2 other rentals! There are other guests usually on property so expect to see others, but you will still have plenty of privacy. This rental is Located at the home of Wildthingz Dog Mushing, professional sled dog team of Iditarod and Yukon Quest musher Richie Beattie and wife Emily Rosenblatt. We live with our 37 Alaskan Huskies and offer a summer sled dog tour. Ask us for details - we offer 20% off for our rental guests! The property is 30 minutes from Denali National Park, a perfect distance from the activities and trails you may be interested in exploring while getting out of the busier hub of tourism. You must have a vehicle to stay here. There is no public transportation, Lyft or Uber in the area so we recommend arranging a rental in anchorage/Fairbanks before arriving. we are 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🟰☮️ hosts and invite everyone to join us for a stay 💕 Guest access You can reach our property by vehicle. We suggest you rent a car in Anchorage or Fairbanks to get here. We are located about 30 minutes from the National Park entrance - 4 hours from Anchorage and 2.5 hours from Fairbanks. The tent has unbeatable views, but is a little more off the beaten path. Guests have a parking spot about 25 yards and within view of the tent. Other things to note this property is OFF GRID! That means there is no running water. there is an outhouse, water and soap for washing, clean drinking water, baby wipes and sanitizer. There is also NO electricity. There is a USB solar charger for phones and tablets on sunny days, but be prepared to charge your phone in your car during the day. there will be bugs! this is Alaska in the summer and it is a tent. there is a mosquito net for the full sized bed, but not the floor mattress. dogs are welcome but ONLY if they are well behaved and must be leashed at ALL times on the property. we have 30 sled dogs that we want your dog to stay safe from and it helps keep the excitement to a minimum. There is great at&t and verizon cell reception here. No wifi is available, but we recommend taking your stay as an opportunity to tune out and listen to the sounds of nature and the dogs howl! we are a rural, Remote property. there is wildlife in the area so please take precautions when walking around on local trails. We reccomend carrying bear spray or bear bells. Do not leave trash or food out. Store the majority of your food in your vehicle. there is a small cooler for some items in the tent.
