The space On our doorstep is the Darran Valley cycle and walking trail, a five-mile route that winds through the Parc Cwm Darran visitor centre and café. The surrounding Country Park offers a variety of mountain bike trails and forest hikes. The cycle/walking trail, built on the old railway line serves as a living museum. Historic bridges, mining artefacts and a colliery winding wheel highlight the villages past as a hub for three coal mines. Visitors can also enjoy the lake, which offers permits for coarse fishing. Within close proximity to the southern Brecon Beacons and a short drive to Bike Park Wales, the location offers stunning mountain views and easy access to country walks.
