Seasonal swimming pool Nordic bath on request Our house is located in the hamlet of LA BATIE, part of the village of Peyroules, just 10 minutes from Castellane, the starting point of the Verdon Gorge with many tourist and sports activities. Ideal for a couple with a child The space Accommodation layout: Ground floor: Kitchen with fully covered and enclosed veranda offering exceptional views/adjoining dining room + living room with sofa bed with real mattress. UPPER LEVEL: Master suite with queen size bed (160 x 200) with bathroom (including toilet) + Mezzanine with queen size bed overlooking living room FLOOR -1: small veranda with terrace access, laundry room (washing machine/dryer), bathroom (including toilet) OUTDOOR TERRACE: garden furniture with 2 armchairs + a very comfortable bench + 1 deckchair + outdoor table with 8 seats, small summer kitchen with sink, barbecue and pizza oven. Guest access Shaded outdoor private parking for one car on the ground floor. Possibility of additional parking, 2-minute walk to the village parking lot. Above-ground pool from June to September Possibility of Nordic bath with a surcharge of €100 payable on site upon arrival. Other things to note Given the layout of the upstairs bathrooms, our accommodation is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility. The house is not equipped with air conditioning because being all stone it is very well insulated and remains very cool in summer. Electric car recharge possible via on-site charger (speed 3.6 kW/h), re-invoiced at the actual rate. Things to know for your stay in our little slice of heaven: -> Winter: Snow tires or other mandatory equipment between November 1 and the end of March. -> Shopping: Our house is located at an equal distance between Castellane and Logis du Pins: - The Castellane market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday, very complete and appreciated, you will find everything there. - Fruits and vegetables from Logis du Pin: Small grocery store where you can find fruits and vegetables, fresh products as well as regional specialties. - The only supermarket nearby is in Castellane. - Les Chèvres du Fontanil, 2-minute drive or 20-minute walk: If you like good goat cheese, we recommend visiting Mikael. An enthusiast who walks his goats every day in the countryside and this is reflected in his cheeses made with love every evening! -> Activities: The place is conducive to relaxation, however you can enjoy many activities nearby: - Numerous walks and hikes nearby for all levels. - many climbing sites. - Splendid Golf de Taulane 15 minutes by car open from April 14 to October 22 for golf lovers or those who wish to eat while enjoying the terrace of the "Trattoria de Mario" in an enchanting and soothing setting. - Lac de Castillon 20 minutes by car: in this lake of about 1500 ha surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Verdon Gorges, with its steep cliffs and turquoise waters, you can enjoy many water activities or enjoy a swim, or go canoeing. The shores of the lake offer landscaped beaches where you can relax and enjoy the sun. We rent our paddleboard and kayak by the day in the accommodation. - Monts d'Azur Reserve 25 minutes by car: Enjoy a return to the wilderness and observe, among other things, the European bison and Przewalski horses on foot, or even a carriage safari. Open daily during school holidays and Wednesday to Sunday all year round. Remember to book! - Lake Sainte-Croix is an hour and a half drive away: in this superb expanse of blue water of 2200 ha surrounded by hills, you can enjoy a swim in its turquoise waters, or go sailing, boating, pedal boating and go up to the entrance of the Verdon Gorge. - Horseback riding enthusiasts will also be delighted!
