The space Each room is unique and built around the existing walls of our 1906 building. The space has been immaculately restored by a diligent team of historical architects and contractors, under the Georgia Historical Preservation and National Park Service's guidelines. Each room is named after a significant moment from our community or a business that has occupied The McKey building over the last 117 years. 1876 at The McKey includes a bedroom, seating area, and a bathroom. Named to honor the year that the first agricultural pecan tree was planted in Lowndes County, Georgia. The Pecan Grove is still in operation today and was originally planted by a member of the McKey family. Guest access While staying at The McKey, guests will have access to their individual rooms, a shared corridor, and Gūd Coffee during their normal business hours.
