Other things to note This is a small resort, located in an unpretentious Cambodian fishing village away form the typical tourist areas. We are located towards the Cambodian Border, approximately 56 km when traveling from Trat. While close to the Islands of Koh Chang, Koh Mak and Koh Kood, the ferries to reach the islands are in Trat. Mairood Resort is accessed by cement pathways that wind through the village. Guest parking is available in a secured, covered parking area and porter service will bring luggage to your bungalow. Although on the water there is no beach. There are small, rustic beaches within walking distance and Banchuen Beach, 5 km away, has restaurants with covered beach platforms. There are bikes available for guests use, and scooters available for a minimal charge. Mairood village was formed by refugees who fled Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge regime.
