Tucked away in the woods, this Scandinavian-inspired treehouse is a quiet, peaceful spot designed for a relaxed couples getaway. Surrounded by trees and overlooking beautiful woodland views, it’s an easy place to slow down and unwind. Spend your time on the wraparound porch, soak in the hot tub, cool off in the creek, or settle in by the fire at night. This is a serene, comfortable retreat where you can reset, enjoy all that nature has to offer, and simply be present. The space This custom-built treehouse was designed with the outdoors in mind. It features a full wall of windows, a large covered outdoor area, and private access to Christian’s Creek. The property includes: - 550 sq. ft. modern indoor living space - 550 sq. ft. covered outdoor space - Wraparound porch - Hot tub - Fire pit area - Creek access *To access the main living area, guests must climb 34 steps. Keurig coffee machine provided with complimentary K-pods, sugar, sugar substitute, and creamers. - Bedroom - Private bedroom suite with a queen bed, comfortable bedding, extra blankets, ceiling fan, individual closets for two, and a noise-canceling machine. - Bathroom - Spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower for two, fresh towels, sink/vanity, hairdryer, and a ceiling light with built-in Bluetooth speaker. **OUTDOOR FEATURES** The wraparound deck is furnished with ample patio seating and overlooks Christian’s Creek. Guests often enjoy sunsets, flowing water sounds, and local wildlife such as deer, squirrels, and birds. We also have several guides at the treehouse for local activities and events. ***GUEST & PROPERTY NOTES*** - Guests - Registered guests only. Maximum of 2 guests. - Sights & Sounds - By booking with us, you acknowledge that this is a nature-forward stay and all that comes with it. Expect bird songs, flowing creek sounds, and the occasional dog bark from a neighboring property. We're also nestled within a rural community, so from time to time you may hear our neighbors enjoying their land - a backyard gathering, some riding on their ATV, or the distant sounds of target practice. These are the everyday rhythms of country living, and we think they're part of what makes this place so special. - Location Considerations - The treehouse sits on our 5-acre property bordering Christian's Creek, nestled within a welcoming rural neighborhood and surrounding community. While the treehouse itself offers a peaceful and private retreat, it si not fully secluded. Neighbors (out of view) share access to the creek and surrounding land, and you may occasionally hear the sound of country life in the distance. ***BUGS*** The treehouse is located in a wooded area next to a creek. Bugs will be present, especially during warmer months and at night. Bug spray, bug-repelling plants, and mitigation devices are provided. ***PET POLICY (DOGS ONLY)*** - Dogs must be disclosed at booking (2 dog max) - Dogs must be leashed when outside at all times - Excessive barking (over 10 minutes) is not permitted - Dogs must be house trained, crate trained, and crated when unattended - Guests must clean up after dogs (waste bags provided) - Some supplies provided include food/water bowls, dog bed, waste bags, shampoo, and towels - Dogs are not allowed on any furniture (indoor & outdoor) - Sofa and recliner covers must remain on at all times - Dogs must be fully clean and dry before entering the indoor space ***SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY*** - Not suitable for infants or young children - Property is not child-proof - High deck, stairs, hot tub, and unrestricted creek access with a steep bank - Children and young adults must be supervised at all times - Swimming or playing in and around the creek is at your own risk - Not wheelchair accessible. ***Creek Safety*** The creek bank has a steep drop-off. Children and pets must be closely supervised. Designated stairs are provided for safe access. ***VEHICLE CONSIDERATIONS*** The access road is gravel, downhill, includes a U-turn, and can be bumpy. All-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended, especially in winter conditions. Two-wheel drive vehicles can reach the treehouse in normal conditions. Shuttle service is not available during snow or ice. ***GRILL & FIRE PIT RULES*** - Do not move the grill from its designated deck location - Keep grill clear of flammable items - Clean grates after each use - Do not leave grill or fire pit unattended ***HOT TUB & CREEK USE*** - Use at your own risk. - No glass, food, or electronics near the hot tub or creek. - Plastic cups are provided. - Cover the hot tub after use. - Do not handle hot tub chemicals. - Children 10 and under are not permitted in the hot tub. Guests are required to sign and return a liability waiver before bookings are confirmed. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home including the expansive wrap-around deck. The treehouse is approximately 50 yards from Christian's Creek and includes private creek access and a large fire pit area. Complimentary wood is provided for the fire pit area. Other things to note ADVERSE WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS: As noted in our listing description, the gravel road leading to the Airbnb has a U-turn and is situated on the side of a hill. It is narrow, allowing for only one vehicle at a time. During winter months, a 4WD or All-Wheel-Drive vehicle is recommended. Please note that we are not responsible for any damage or towing charges should you encounter difficulty or get stuck. Your privacy is our priority. In the event of a winter storm, we will contact you to confirm when it would be convenient to clear the parking area, deck, and stairs. We aim to begin snow removal immediately after the storm ends, unless it is late at night, in which case we will start the next morning. We begin by plowing the driveway to the Airbnb, and once we reach the parking area, we will schedule with you when to clear the stairs and deck to prevent slips and falls. We will not enter the Airbnb during this process. For your convenience, we keep ice melt in the bin by the trash can and a shovel in case you need either before we can address the area. Please note that we are not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from slips or falls on the property. ADDITIONAL THINGS TO KNOW: • You’ll be staying in someone’s home, so please treat it with the upmost care and respect. • No parties or events. • Please observe that quiet time is between 10pm and 8am. No loud music at any time. • No smoking or vaping of any kind. • Please do not put ANYTHING but toilet paper and human waste in the toilet. No flushable wipes or feminine hygiene products of any kind are to be flushed down the toilet as these could damage the septic system.
