Vacation apartment/apartment for 10 guests with 150m² in Naters (189828)

Description

The apartment, located in a historic building, has been gently renovated, preserving its original features and incorporating them into the renovation process. A large and spacious apartment. The living and dining area offers plenty of space for you and your family to spend time together and enjoy each other’s company. The two large rooms offer plenty of space, and for those who enjoy spending time alone, there is a small room with a skylight. The living area has two sofa beds; when unfolded, they measure 140x200 cm. Each can accommodate one adult and two children, or two children each—for a total of four children. Description of the neighborhood You’ll enjoy a peaceful vacation. The neighborhood values the tranquility of the village. If you have any requests, you’ll quickly connect with the residents of Naters, who’ll be happy to share the village’s history with you. The accommodations are located on Judengasse. The name dates back to the 12th century, when the residents of the mountain village of Visperterminen had to carry their dead through Naters to bury them in the cemetery there. At that time, Naters was the seat of the bishop and the center of the Catholic Church. You can tour the former 12th-century castle. Visperterminen did not have its own cemetery and carried its dead all the way to Naters. The alley where the dead were carried came to be known as Judengasse. Out and about near your accommodations The old village itself is well worth a visit. Experience the old village with its narrow alleys, historic buildings, and beautiful squares. A walk through the village and a chat with the locals is well worth it. Experience the beautiful and unique atmosphere. There are beautiful excursions to enjoy in the area surrounding the village. Way of the Cross with the Gard Museum The Way of the Cross, with its loop trail leading to the Gard Museum, transports you to another world. See Naters and Brig from above. Experience how the old part of the village contrasts with the new part of Naters. See what else you’d like to discover. After the loop trail, enjoy a small ice cream and then visit the Guard Museum. In the former World War II fortress, you’ll experience the events of that time and the history of the Guards in Rome. A leisurely walk back through Naters and a stop at a village café invite you to linger. The Red Mile Our community created the Red Mile along the former railway right-of-way of the Matterhorn Gornergrat Railway. The Red Mile runs through the entire length of Naters, from the lower Rottenbrücke pedestrian bridge all the way to Bitsch. Take your time—you can stop to rest whenever you like, watch the people go by, and then continue on your way. Once you arrive in Bitsch, you can walk back or take the local bus through Naters. Swimming Pools In Naters, you can walk to Bammatte in 15 minutes. A cozy and kid-friendly public swimming pool. In Brig, you can swim at the newly built Geschina and spend some time in Brig on the way back. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Brig to Naters. You can reach the thermal baths in Brigerbad in 10 minutes by car or public bus. The thermal baths in Leukerbad are a 45-minute drive away. A day trip well worth it. In winter, hit the slopes first and then head to the thermal baths—perfect. In winter, you can reach the beautiful Belalp in 30 minutes, home to a unique ski area. The ski school is very child-friendly. From the ski area, you can see the Aletsch Glacier and a breathtaking panorama. You can also reach the Aletsch region in 30 minutes—a large ski area awaits you. If you prefer something smaller, Rosswald is the place for you. Nostalgic T-bar lifts take you up to this small ski area, where you can enjoy a romantic atmosphere and a beautiful view all the way to Visp. You can reach Zermatt by car or by train. The Saas Valley, with Hohsaas, offers a unique mountain landscape and skiing opportunities—small and charming in Saas-Almagell; larger and more international in Saas-Fee, where you can ski on the glacier year-round. Throughout the entire Valais region, countless ski resorts are open to you—and, of course, snowboarders are also welcome and have their own designated areas.
