The cabin has a spacious living room, and an extra TV room on the 2nd floor, with an extra TV, if you want to relax with a movie or let the young ones enjoy the Playstation, while the adults enjoy a glass of wine in front of the fireplace, a good book or plan the next day's mountain hike. Both summer and winter there are plenty of activities for all ages in the immediate vicinity, and many offers to fill the days with if you wish. The ski slope runs right below the cabin, and there are 120 km of cross-country trails, with varying degrees of difficulty. It is 5 min to a local alpine slope, but no more than 50 min to Hemsedal, which is a paradise for alpine skiers of all ages. There are plenty of great hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, and a whole range of peaks you can climb. You can also bring your fishing rod and try your luck in one of the many fishing waters in the area, or rent a canoe and explore one of the beautiful lakes in Valdres. If you are more adventurous, you can try randoné in the winter or rent a toboggan and whiz down the mountainside 5 min from the cabin. Høyset Panorama is also a perfect base for exploring Valdres by bike, and is a popular cycling destination. There are many great bike trails nearby, and there are opportunities for cycling on both gravel roads and trails. If you don't have your own bike, this can be rented at the local sports shop 10 min away.
