Beautiful private cabin just outside of town. Our cabin is rustic but comfortable, simple and quiet. We don’t offer you frills and fancy extras. We strive to make you feel off the grid so there is WiFi but no extra electronics like TV or cable. We want you to be outside, enjoying our wonderful community. Our newly constructed cabin is located at the end of a quiet cul de sac with views of the surrounding mountains and the Alaska Railroad. The cabin is located in close proximity to several trails, lakes, Resurrection Bay, Exit Glacier and 6 miles from downtown Seward. You'll find the full kitchen (no dishwasher) to be basic and beautiful, outfitted with pots, pans and cookware. Custom countertops and bar made with Washington State redwood. Dining table seats 4 on the deck and a bar that seats 3. On the upstairs main floor you’ll find the master bedroom with one memory foam full king bed, night stands, and chairs. Two downstairs bedrooms feature memory foam queen beds, closets, and chairs. There are bathrooms with bathtubs on each floor. There is a wall of windows in the kitchen and living room that let in natural light. From the living room you can also access the large private, covered deck with reclining lawn chairs. Fishing in Resurrection Bay and glacier-viewing in Kenai Fjords National Park are located 6-minutes to the south in Seward. The Kenai and Russian Rivers are about a 45 minute drive, passing through Tern Lake and Cooper Landing. The Chugach National Forest's incredible hiking trails start right out the front door. The cabin sleeps a total of 6 guests max. It's perfect for small families or couples who want to be out of town enjoying the wilderness but close enough to town to go out to eat at our famous restaurants. You'll have access to a small washer and dryer. There is one office in the house that is locked and has the owners personal belongings. There is a small fire pit outside so you can enjoy the ambiance of our summer nights. Hosts live next door Quiet neighborhood with occasional moose and bear sightings 1.5 miles from Bear Lake 1/4 mile from active fish spawning weir The Alaska Railroad comes by on their regular routine. Approx 11am and 6:50pm, you'll be able to watch they go by the house. Please reach out to us 24 hours prior to your arrival to discuss check in time and receive directions to the house. As we've stated, this is quiet neighborhood, so it can be tricky to find. Google is not that perceptive to our location. There is a wood stove inside the house but we ask that guests not use it without discussing it with the site manager.
