The space This upgraded large downstairs apartment in Salt Lake City (Millcreek) boasts of a modern style with organic touches. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood with large walkable streets, an open living and dining area, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, storage, fast internet connection, large shared backyard, and private driveway. The home is within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, grocery, Millcreek Commons (skating, splash pad, games, food, music), bus route (easy commute to University of Utah), St. Mark’s hospital; less than 10 minutes from REI (an adventurer’s dream); less than 20 minutes from the base of Utah’s four most famous ski resorts (Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude), the airport, and the University of Utah; and about 25 minutes from Park City. There are five additional resorts within a one-hour drive of Salt Lake. Our modern home has been lovingly decorated with an urban vibe to include many modern touches with functionality and design in mind. You can relax in our cozy living room on the comfortable sectional sofa (with storage function under each seat), while watching a movie online on the smart t.v. or reading a travel guide on Utah's hikes or National Parks. There is also a dedicated laptop side table, and floor lamp with dimmer for that warm nighttime vibe. The dining room lengthens the living space in this open floor plan. There is seating for four at the dining table, with additional seating at the two barstools in the kitchen. With newly installed recessed lighting, this open living space really comes alive. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, electric range, dishwasher, and tea and coffee set up. The full-size and private W/D are off the kitchen (including a drying rack). Available upon request: Air Fryer Our home sleeps 4 to 5 people in two bedrooms—one queen size bed in one room, and a twin daybed and full bed in the master room. The queen size bedroom has a full-length floor mirror, under-the-bed storage, tabletop iron board and iron. Each bedroom has a luggage rack, blackout curtains, nightstands, and hanging wardrobe shelves in the closets. There is one bathroom with upgraded lighting and décor. The unit is climate controlled and kept at a constant comfortable temperature year-round. We are proud to use only non-toxic cleaning products, and provide our guests with natural bath & body items infused with premium essential oils. We have a storage area in the unit, and you have access to a second storage area in the backyard upon request. The backyard is fully fenced in. You do share the backyard with the upstairs tenants (me and my family). We are a family of four with a dog named DJ. DJ is a medium-sized gentle and sweet Australian cattle dog. She loves meeting new people and playing ball, but we will keep her out of your way if dogs are not your thing. We do work from home often and homeschool, so we are home during the day a lot, but we are very mindful of our guests. Please consider before booking. Good news, if you need anything, we are literally right there. We recommend you use Uber, or walk, it is a great neighborhood to get to know on foot. We have a private driveway or street parking for guests if you are coming by car. The house is located 8 minutes (1/4 mile) from the UTA bus stop (line 213). There is a private entrance and keyless entry. Guest access You will have access to the entire downstairs apartment, except one portion of the large storage closet which is used for owner storage. This is partitioned off. Your access will be: a fully equipped kitchen, a large bright open living and dining space, two bedrooms, private bathroom, private barbecue grill, private driveway and private entrance. The backyard is off-limits to AirBnB guests. Other things to note Guests must go downstairs to reach the unit, thereafter the unit is on one level. Please consider before booking. No smoking on premises. Service animals are welcome, however, per AirBnB policy, service animals or emotional support animals are not to be left alone on the premises at any time without prior approval from the host. Failure to abide by this AirBnB policy can be cause for contract cancellation.
