Centrally located walking distance from all attractions in New Harmony, our house is a peaceful & quiet retreat for a single overnight or an extended stay. We've taken great care to love our guests the way we love our house & have everything you need to feel at home with the tools you need to cook meals, prepare an espresso or tea, or work from our office area. We also have yoga mats, bolsters & blocks for your practice. Enjoy two spacious decks and our porch swing when the weather permits! While there are guests at the house, we stay in our campervan (white Promaster) on or nearby the property. We will be available should you need anything during your stay but will otherwise maintain our space so you can enjoy the house! Quiet street on a corner lot on the edge of the historic district within walking distance of all major attractions. There's a walking/running trail at the end of the street leading to Murphy Park with playground equipment and seating. Three blocks from Black Lodge Coffee Roasters, a Marathon Gas Station and the Workingmen's Institute which is the oldest operating library in the State of Indiana. Easily see the sights of New Harmony just steps from the front porch. Of note: there is no grocery store in New Harmony. If you’re planning to cook or want fresh food, the closest grocery store is located in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, or there are several options in Evansville, Indiana. There is ample and free on street parking throughout New Harmony. Many locals and tourists choose to get around town on golf carts. Rentals are available at the New Harmony Visitors Center which is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the house. The best way to experience New Harmony is by walking if you are able and New Harmony is very bike friendly. The beautiful Harmonie State Park is just a 7 minute drive away with many outdoor amenities. The listing price is for 4 guests; the house sleeps up to 6 and there is an additional per-person fee for a 5th & 6th guest.
