Winnegance Ledge - church on the water

Welcome to Winnegance Ledge, private third floor of an 1864 church converted to residence, overlooking the Kennebec river and tidal Winnegance Bay. Watch the sunrise from private deck. Climb the stairs through the choir loft to your private space (1300sq ft). Kitchenette with stove, microwave, refrigerator enables simple meals. Clawfoot tub w shower nozzle (no standup shower). Central location close to Popham Beach-20min, Portland (40min), Freeport-25min, The space This third floor living area is expansive and very unique. The outdoor deck offers wonderful views of the tidal Winnegance Creek which is a bay on the Kennebec River. Doubling Point lighthouse is across the river. Osprey and eagles can be seen quite often over the water. Guest access Enter Winnegance Ledge via the purple double doors (right door operable). It’s an old door so you might need to push hard as it sticks some times. Kindly be sure the front door is latched upon entering and leaving. In the foyer to your left is a narrow set of stairs that will take you to the third floor (your space). First set of stairs are a bit steep, but charming which take you to the choir loft and second flight to 3rd floor. If you feel the stair are too steep to carry your belongings, we will arrange to bring them up to the third floor via our space, just let me know and we'll accomodate you. When you get the third floor, you will enter the dining/kitchenette/study area. A bedroom is beyond this as is the living room and second sleeping area. The bathroom and deck are off the living room space. The stairs in the living room lead to our space, kindly respect our privacy. This is an emergency exit only should there be a need. The backyard, dock etc, is our private space. We loan the space a state park pass to give you access to many local scenic beaches (Popham & Reid St pks)
