Sol Casita is a two story building that contains five different accommodations. Two on the second floor and Three on the ground floor. This listing, SolCasita ∞ Crew Quarters, is one accommodation within Sol Casita. SolCasita ∞ Crew Quarters is located on the street side of the second floor. Since this is a street side room, there is a potential for street noise. It features a private balcony overlooking the street, private bathroom with hot water, and and 2 high efficiency air conditioners. Your accommodation includes access to our common dock lounge and kitchen as well as use of our kayaks. The dock lounge, kitchen, and kayaks are shared with other guests. Sol Casita has 5 different accommodations to choose from. We also have a full house rental in the pueblo of Cabo Rojo. If you are looking for a bigger room, something more private or more economical check out our other listings by clicking on our photo. After making a reservation our primary form of communication is through messages on Airbnb. The day before your arrival around 3pm you will receive detailed check in instructions. There will be no staff on the property to help when you arrive so it is important you read the instructions. We are available by phone or message if you have any questions. If we don’t pick up the phone please be sure to leave a message so we can call you back! Staying true to the name, half of Sol Casita’s power is generated by solar panels, hot water by a solar hot water heater Important Notes: We kindly ask you to be mindful of your noise levels at all times but especially after 10pm. Remember not only are you sharing the space with other guests but also neighbors that have to work and go to school early in the mornings. FAQ Are Pets allowed? Yes! We ask that you do not leave them unattended in your room unless they are in a crate. Do you provide parking? No, there is free street parking within a minute walk. Is the parking safe? In the four years we have been operating none of our guests have ever had their car stolen or broken into. Please follow our parking instructions to avoid causing an accident or getting your car towed. Is the area safe? Yes, Sol Casita is in a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone and people look out for each other. Many of our neighbors have had family living in Puerto Real for over 100 years. How does your pricing work? All prices have a base fee per night, plus a fixed cleaning fee charged once per reservation, plus airbnb service fees that fluctuate between 15-18%, and 7% local taxes. Our base fee per night is updated daily based on multiple factors. Including demand, distance from reservation, and availability. Do you offer discounts? There are already length-of-stay and last-minute discounts built in that will reflect in the price. If you want to rent multiple listings at the same time contact us for a discount. Can we host a party on the property? No, the property is only for use by guests staying with you. Out of respect for other guests and neighbors please do not play loud music during the day and do not create excessive noise after 10pm any day of the week. Do you have backup power if the power is down? No, we do not have backup power. Even though we have solar panels they only produce power when the power grid is active. As you may or may not know the power grid in Puerto Rico is not the most reliable. Please reachout to us if there is an issue with the power so we can help you find a solution. Often outages will not last for more than a few hours. Can we dock our boat at the dock? Our dock can accommodate small boats and jetskis without a problem. Any boat over 5 feet wide will not be able to enter the available dock space. You can always anchor your boat in the bay for free. Are there boat ramps nearby? Yes, there is one at the marina, there is one near the end of an area called fanguito both within walking distance. Also there is one at Ostiones about a 5 minute drive away. Can we swim off the dock? It is not recommended. We provide kayaks to use to enjoy the water. There are some nice places to swim within a 15 minute paddle. What time is Checkin/Checkout? Checkin is anytime after 3pm and Checkout is anytime before Noon. Can I leave my stuff before check in or after checkout? Yes, you can leave it in the common area at your own risk. Are you located in Poblado? No, Poblado refers to the downtown area of Boqueron, we are located in the downtown of Puerto Real, 15 minutes north. Are you located in Parguera? No, Parguera is a neighborhood in the town of Lajas about 30 minutes away. We are located in Puerto Real, Cabo Rojo. Can I cancel my reservation and receive a full refund? This depends on what type of cancelation policy was selected during checkout and at what point you decide to cancel. There is a discount for choosing a non-refundable reservation. These reservations as the name suggests are not refundable. If you are canceling within 5 days of your reservation no matter what kind of policy was selected the reservation will also be non-refundable.
