Firefly Hill House: A Refuge in the Woods

Firefly Hill House is a private Hudson Valley escape built for great sleep and easy downtime. Enjoy three bedrooms (all with A/C) and three full baths (two en suite), high-end beds (Hästens & RH), blackout curtains, and a cozy fireplace. Outside, unwind in a deer-fenced yard with flower + veggie gardens, covered porch dining, an expansive patio, grill, hammock, and Solo Stove firepit—perfect for quiet evenings under the stars. 2 hrs from NYC; 10 min to High Falls; 20 to Kingston/Woodstock/NP. The space Firefly Hill House is a serene, art-filled home—comfortable, well-appointed, and set up for genuine rest. Tucked into the woods, yet minutes away from great food, coffee and trails. We love it in every season. In June/July, fireflies fill the backyard forest. Fall brings farm stands and harvest season. Winter is quiet and cozy, and the gas fireplace makes staying in feel like the plan. SLEEPING + BATHS: Upstairs are two large primary bedrooms, both with blackout curtains, en-suite full baths, and A/C split units. Bedroom 1: Restoration Hardware king bed with Helix mattress + Peloton and yoga area. Bedroom 2: Hästens queen bed + work area and keyboard. Downstairs is a third bedroom with a double bed and Casper mattress, with a full bathroom across the hall. All bathrooms include MALIN+GOETZ products. LIVING AREAS: The open-concept main floor has three zones: Dining area with the gas fireplace + sitting area Large living room for board games, puzzles, movies, and naps Well-equipped kitchen with island Off the kitchen is a covered porch for optional screened outdoor dining. OUTDOORS: The backyard includes Gloster teak furniture, a Weber gas grill, hammock, Yukon Solo Stove firepit, raised beds (herbs/veggies + flowers), plus room to toss a frisbee or ball. The fully deer-fenced yard is especially helpful for families and guests traveling with small dogs. Guest access Guests have full access to the home, except the basement (storage/utility—no need to go down there). Other things to note INTERNET: Our primary internet is Spectrum and it's fast. DEER FENCE: The yard is fully deer-fenced, which helps minimize ticks, protect the gardens and creates a contained outdoor space for kids and small dogs. Still, we always encourage guests to check for ticks after playing outside in the late Spring and early Fall. PETS: Please tell us about any pet before booking. No cats (severe allergies). Dogs are considered case-by-case; smaller, well-trained dogs are usually the best fit. NO PARTIES / GOOD FIT: We keep the house quiet and neighbor-friendly. Parties aren’t allowed, and we don’t host groups that plan to be loud late at night. Please make sure your guest and pet count matches your booking.
