Villa Levanta, Agia Efimia, Kefalonia Amazing view

“Villa Levanta” is located within the picturesque mountain village of Dendrinata offering a quiet stay in a lovely rural setting - away from it all but only 4 min drive from the sea, beaches and pretty harbour front of Agia Efimia with shops, tavernas, bakery etc. Because of its elevated location the villa overlooks the valley of Pylaros offering stunning panoramic views. The famous Myrtos beach is approx. 6km away. Our prices include the compulsory Greek tourist/climate tax. The space The villa has everything you need to make your self catering holiday enjoyable and comfortable. Some of the things that might make a difference include: Washing machine (with powder and conditioner supplied), dishwasher (plus detergent tabs), nespresso coffee machine with pods, filter coffee maker, fully eqipped kitchen with plates, glasses, cups, pans and cooking utensils etc. toaster, microwave, oven and gas hob with 4 burners. There is a Smart TV, DVD player (plus a selection of English DVD's) and internet. We also provide outdoor dining facilities and comfortable outdoor seating, sun loungers, beach umbrella and towels for beach use. Please see the list at the end to see everything that is included. There are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and 2 have double beds and bedroom 3 has twin beds. The villa itself is very homely and comfortable with a superb mountain view and private secluded garden which is secure. In the garden is a beautiful old building which partially survived the earthquake of 1950's which devastated most of the island. It is accompanied by a majestic almond tree which provides shade for you to sit under and enjoy your glass of wine whilst looking out at the view. We also grow our own herbs so please help yourself to the abundance of oregano, rosemary, sage, basil, lemon balm and, of course, Lavender. In addition to Air Con, each room has a ceiling fan and all windows are fitted with fly screens. Each bedroom has a hair dryer and there is an iron and ironing board for your use. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and double sink and plenty of shelf space to store your suitcases etc. out of the way. The quaint village of Agia Efimia, a 4 minute drive, offers all amenities from supermarkets, bars, cafes and tavernas to atm machine, pharmacy, tourist information and car/motorbike/motorboat rental places. There are numerous beautiful pebble coves for you to enjoy your swim and scuba diving lessons can be booked. Other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, water skiing are provided in the area. There are numerous off road walks and hikes in this area and Sami. Within an approx. 6 minute drive you reach the amazing Myrtos beach famed for the beauty of its blue water (voted one of the top ten beaches in the world). “Villa Levanta” is an ideal base for exploring Kefalonia. The picturesque fishing village of Assos with its hilltop venetian castle is approx 13km (15-20 mins drive) away. The famous beach of Anitsamos (Captain Correllis mandolin was filmed here) and Sami and ancient Sami ruins are all approx 30 min drive. The villa is in a great central location regarding distances, giving easy access to all areas of the island, especially the northern part of the island (Sami, Assos, Fiscardo, Myrtos beach). Guest access The villa is an entire property and the guests have full access in all inside and outside areas. The garden is secured by electric gate and small side gate. Parking for cars is within the property and secured by electric gate. Other things to note Distances: 4 km (4-minute drive) to the beautiful harbour of Agia Efimia where you will find restaurants, supermarkets, atm, pharmacy and beautiful small beaches to swim. 6.5 km to Myrtos Beach (10-Minute drive) 10 km to the famous underground Lake of Melissani, in Karavomilos 16.5 km to Antisamos Beach 13 km (approx. 15-minute drive)Sami, supermarkets, restaurants, banks and the port of Sami for ferries to mainland and Ithica. 16 km to the Drogarati Cave nearby Sami. 12 km to the quaint little fishing harbour of Assos with its Venetian Castle. *If you follow another route the distance from “Villa Levanta” to Assos is 21 km, but views along both ways will be worth the drive. 29 km to the picturesque yacht harbour of Fiscardo with beautiful scenery and view while driving. 26 km to Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia Island. 37 km to the Airport of Kefalonia. 38 km to Poros. 51 km to Skala.
