Explore Redwood National Park with Hot Tub, Wood Stove, and Fire Pit!

Description

Welcome to your Humble Home on the Humboldt Coast. Wake up to coffee on the porch swing with open views of Redwood National Park and Redwood Creek. Then walk, ride, or drive past the elk herd to old-growth redwoods, or follow the creek to the mighty Pacific with miles of flat beach. Spend more time exploring with the best access to giant redwoods, breathtaking beaches, and phenomenal fishing. Return home to cornhole, foosball, smores, a roaring fire and a movie, and a hot tub under the stars! The space Prepare yourself for awe inspiring nature! Redwood National Park, Prairie Creek State Park, The Humboldt Lagoons, the Klamath River, Yurok Tribe headquarters, hundreds of miles of trails, backpacking, bike riding, fishing, camping, swimming, surfing, kayaking, tree-hugging, elk spotting, horseback riding, beachcombing, sand castle building, seal barking, rock skipping and driftwood fortress constructing... all await your arrival! Most guests choose this Humble Home for its close proximity to Redwood National and State Parks, which are remarkable for their towering coast redwoods—the tallest trees on Earth—as well as their rich ecological and cultural significance. These ancient forests, some of which are over 1,000 years old, are part of a diverse landscape that includes fern-filled canyons, fog-draped coastline, rivers, and prairies, supporting a wide range of wildlife like Roosevelt elk, black bears, and gray whales. The area is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve but also the ancestral homeland of the Yurok people, who have lived in balance with this land for thousands of years and continue to maintain deep cultural and spiritual ties to it. Visiting the park offers a chance to connect with a living landscape shaped by both natural forces and Indigenous stewardship, where the sense of awe and reverence is as towering as the redwoods themselves. This Humble Home is wonderfully accessible yet quiet and secluded. Internet and cell phones work great due to the relatively close proximity to the Park's headquarters and visitors center. The market and snack shack are both within walking distance. At the bottom of the driveway, you'll find access to the levy trail which will take you to Redwood National Park trails or to the beach. You can also drive the road to both. While the Humboldt Coast is known for it’s fog, this little area can get lots of sun and during the summer you can enjoy a dip in the crystal clear water of Redwood Creek. The house is rustic and charming, equipped with modern amenities, and with a recently remodeled interior. You will love your stay here and it is important to note that this is an older, quirky manufactured home located close to the ocean and in a rainforest. The salt air and wet winters are hard on a house and property. There are a few odd twists and turns in this home that give it character. Everything in the home is in good working order, well maintained, and set up to enhance your enjoyment of this breathtaking environment whether traveling alone or with treasured others. Step just outside the Humble Home and you'll find a gorgeous property with plenty of lawn and garden space to play. The porch has a panoramic view of Redwood National Park and Redwood Creek downstream to the coast. You will love watching the sunset from the porch swing, hot tub, and hammock chairs. There is also an outdoor eating area and fire pit with a cornhole set for hanging around the house and enjoying some quality time. The hot tub is a luxury 3 person spa with incredible massage. The sunsets from the hot tub will make your vacation unforgettable and will restore your body for the next day’s adventure. Inside the home, the kitchen is top chef with a double oven, 5 burner island range, microwave, dishwasher, instapot, toaster, blender, food processor, waffle iron, french press, coffee pot, single cup pour over, coffee grinder, electric water kettle, teapot, and more. There are lots of quality pots, pans, and cooking utensils. If you love to cook on vacation, you will be stoked about this setup. There is dinnerware for 8 both formal and plastic. The living room is big and comfy with a great view of the creek and redwoods. The wood-burning stove creates an amazing ambiance while you enjoy board games, books, and puzzles. There are extra blankets inside the cushioned storage bench by the living room windows so you can cozy up in front of the 100-inch movie projector for a home theatre treat. There are walk-in closets available in bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 1 has its own bathroom with a double sink, stand-up shower, and a huge bathtub. The hall bathroom has a shower/tub. And as a bonus, both bathroom toilets are equipped with bidets. TMI? We think not. Please let me know how I can make your visit amazing. Ask me about local adventures, I've hiked, ridden, and driven just about all of them! I have fallen in love with this area and I think you will too. Guest access You'll have access to the entire house and property except the garage. There is a tiny home on the back of the property which is fenced in for privacy. The tiny home shares the driveway with the humble home but otherwise the two homes are entirely separate with separate outdoor space. Other things to note This home is equipped to host 7 very comfortably. For an eighth guest, I can provide a fold-out twin mattress or a nice inflatable twin that can go underneath the loft bed in bedroom 3. There is a tiny home at the back of the property which shares the driveway with this home but otherwise they are completely separate. All amenities listed are private and yours to enjoy.
