Beautiful cabin built in the spirit of those of the oyster farmers of the Bassin d'Arcachon. Entirely made of wood, this "tchanquée" hut (on stilts) overlooks the coastal path and offers panoramic views of the basin and the old oyster refining basins at its feet. Its elevated layout earned it the name "la Hune", which refers to an observation platform installed at the top of the ships' mast. The house has 3 terraces, a 500 m2 garden and a saltwater pool. The space The house is located on the edge of the coastal path, in a wild site populated by migratory birds. A true haven of peace, it is a place in osmosis with nature to retreat from the world for a weekend or vacation. The house is built on stilts which allows it to have a view in the distance. With an area of 50 m2, it can accommodate 2 adults and 1 baby (travel cot). It has: - 1 bedroom with double bed and sea view - 1 bathroom with bathtub - 1 kitchen - 1 separate toilet The living room, dining room and kitchen communicate in a crossing space overlooking the sea. The space is extended by 2 terraces, one of which, "solarium", faces south. SALTWATER POOL At the foot of the house, the pool is completely surrounded by a wooden deck. The pool is treated with salt, allowing you to rediscover the pleasure of swimming in water that is not irritating to the skin and eyes. The pool is available for use without interruption from April to September. It is not heated. AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY HOUSE Located in a particularly wild site, the house is in harmony with the surrounding nature. It is entirely built of wood and benefits from natural ventilation thanks to its north-south orientation. This avoids air conditioning in summer and recovers heat from the sun in winter. The house also benefits from high-performance insulation to ensure comfort in all rooms. The house is equipped with solar panels to heat the water. This system requires, in fact, to be more attentive to water consumption during the winter or the less sunny months. Finally, the garden is watered with water drawn from the natural ground. Guest access The second floor and garage are not accessible to guests. Other things to note All linens are included: bed linens, towels and kitchen linens. All you have to do is unpack your suitcase! If you wish to leave after 10 a.m., we can offer you a late check-out until 3 p.m. for an additional 40 euros. Bath sheets are offered at a rate of 8 euros per person, if you like. Finally, as the house is in a particularly quiet environment, we ask that you respect this tranquility. The house is not suitable for parties and festive events.
