Stylish 2-Bedroom Detached Coach House in the Heart of Idyllic Somerset Countryside Our newly renovated detached coach house is nestled in West Pennard Village, just 4 miles from Glastonbury. This single-level home offers the perfect blend of character with modern comforts in a tranquil setting with its own parking. There are 2 bedrooms with luxury 5* linens, 2 bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen, an airy living space and a private courtyard with amazing garden views. Easy walk to a fabulous pub. The space Lovely detached Coach House for Glastonbury Festival which is just 3 miles away and is easily accessible by bus, car, bike or on foot. Enjoy the festival, with a little luxury and some peaceful tranquility in between! No crammed-in tent or tee-pee with massive queues for the toilet or shower! And we are just round the corner so you can get a bus, car, bike or walk it really easily. We are 3.2 miles away, taking approx 6 mins in the car to the Red Gate. Please ask about car parking options. The Festival Bus service stops on the A361 in our village and is an approx 5 minute walk from the Coach House. The bus takes you directly to Glastonbury Festival (it's en-route from Glastonbury to the festival). The timetable is available on request. You can also walk to the Red Gate in approx 45 minutes. A festival hamper is provided with all the essentials and a few lovely treats. This accommodation may be suitable for you if you are a festival go-er or you are keeping an eye on your youngsters who are going for the first time. Pick up from Castle Cary Train Station can be arranged as an extra. Other things to note: **FESTIVAL TICKETS NOT INCLUDED** AND, we also host life after the festival too!! Kitchen The brand new kitchen is a chef's dream! It boasts hand-painted cabinetry and granite worktops and is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a dishwasher, oven/microwave, induction hob and a large American Fridge Freezer. A Lavazza Jolie coffee pod machine awaits to serve up your morning brew and there is complimentary tea, coffee and milk with a hamper containing a treat or two. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and condiments, so whether you're whipping up a family feast or a quick snack you'll find everything you need right at your fingertips! A washing machine is available on request. Bedrooms The coach house offers two inviting bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed for your comfort. The master bedroom features a super-king bed which can be set up as two single beds as required, providing flexibility for your sleeping arrangements. The second bedroom has two luxury single beds and a king-size sofa bed to comfortably accommodate up to two extra guests. Sink into the sumptuous 5* bedding after a day of exploration and take in the peaceful surroundings. With two ensuite bathrooms, there's no need to wait in line for your morning routine. Bathrooms Both bathrooms and the separate toilet have brand-new modern fixtures and spa-like touches. Enjoy a hot shower in the morning or a soothing bath in the free-standing roll top bath in the evening; the choice is yours. Courtyard Step outside through double doors from the dining area to the timber-fenced private courtyard, a tranquil, sheltered floral oasis. Take in the breath-taking views to the picturesque gardens beyond, including the iconic tower of St Nicholas Church and ancient trees. Whether sitting at the outside dining table or bench It's the perfect spot for sipping your morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine under the starry night sky. The views are truly a sight to behold! Location The Coach House is tucked away in the serene countryside, providing a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are numerous footpaths from St Nicholas Church along West Pennard Hill and beyond to appreciate stunning panoramic views of Glastonbury Tor and the site of Glastonbury Festival. If you are visiting for the festival the nearest gate entrance is just only 3 miles away. For families with children attending Millfield Prep and Senior Schools, you'll be pleased to know that they are conveniently located nearby, within a 5 minute and 10 minute drive respectively. Additionally, the mystical charms of Glastonbury Tor and the Abbey, Bruton’s trendy vibe and the historic City of Wells are well worth a visit to soak in the rich history and vibrant culture, or to peruse the charming shops and cafes. The renowned attraction ,"The Newt," is close by offering stunning gardens and dining during your stay. Further afield are the delights of Bath and Bristol, plus the south and west coasts all within an hours’ drive, making for great day-trips. If you’re looking to dine out, you’ll be delighted to discover the amazing Gastro Pub, The Lion a stone’s throw away in the village. It’s the perfect place to savour a delicious meal or to unwind with a drink after a day of discovering the area. Guest access You can find us through the stone pillared gates leading into the circular gravel frontage of West Pennard House. Parking for the Coach House is in a designated space near the garage. A short walk along the adjacent gravel path and through the wooden gate takes you to the blue door of the Coach House where there is a key lockbox for check-in.
