So check the 7 day discount! The space An architecturally designed house that is light, simple and compact - a perfect place to enjoy your break. Where possible, natural materials are used. The interior is around 85m2 and contains two bedrooms with two small but high-end bathrooms each, an open plan lounge/kitchen is the social space in the middle. Sun deck with glass balustrading to enjoy that amazing view and to sit out of the wind, while there is shade and more seating in the rear. The lounge as well as both bedroom have views over the Oruawharo Medlands area. Perfect for surfies who want to keep an eye on the surf. And even though this house is off grid, like all houses on Aotea, it's comfortable with modern systems. The deck is a sun trap, a perfect spot to quickly dry all your beach towels and to warm up if you've spend too much time in the surf. There's even a washing machine in the laundry area, with drying racks to wash some essentials if you're traveling light, or staying a while. Guest access The house is all yours to enjoy for the time of your rental. Landscaping will be completed in 2024. The area above the retaining wall at the back has a steep drop and is a no go zone. It has been fenced off. Other things to note Water supply is tank water which is caught of the roof. We will be filling the 5000L header tank above the house before your arrival, and this should be ample for your stay. Please do conserve water, especially over summer, as there is no water tanker on the island. Power is supplied by the solar panels on the roof, so being mindful of your usage is a requirement during you stay (no hair dryers/straighteners, rice cookers, electric toasters, and other appliances with heating elements, please). You are welcome to use the washing machine, but in the day time, please, with water temperature on 20 degrees. Please use the washing racks provided to dry.
