Other things to note This home is meant to be intentionally rustic. It’s not a luxury cabin. We understand that off-grid sites aren’t for everyone but we do our absolute best to set expectations for these sites before you arrive. If you’re expecting a luxury experience, this site is not for you. If you want to stay on a unique private property and still feel a bit like you’re camping, this is for you! The condition of the ponds and streams on the property can vary. Depending on the time of year and/or the amount of rainfall, the ponds and streams might be dried up at times and not always running or full. We do not allow wood burning camp fires. However, we do provide a propane fire pit that you can use if you’d like to have a fire. Note that if you’d like to use the propane fire pit, you’ll need to bring your own propane. The fire pit runs off a 20lb propane bottle (the same bottle that connects to home BBQ grills). BUGS & CRITTERS: Please understand that this is a remote cabin deep in the woods. It is impossible to keep all critters/bugs or some dust from getting in. You might have some bugs or dust in the cabin, even though we clean it constantly, there is just no way to avoid this. There is little or no cell service on the property Please take precautions for bears and mountain lions. Absolutely no firearms or shooting is allowed. Do not carve into the trees or damage them in any way. Do not litter or leave cigarette butts. Please pick up pet waste since it can build up and bother future guests. Cows occasionally graze through the property, please do not approach or try to pet them. PLEASE TREAT THIS SPECIAL PLACE WITH RESPECT: You’re on vacation, you’re paying a cleaning fee and we don’t expect you to clean. However, that’s not an excuse to leave the place trashed. Guests should not leave loose trash or perishables out, leave an excessive mess or damages. Violations will result in a minimum $250 fine and go up from there depending on the situation.
