“Prospect Creek” Country Accommodation

A private suite at Prospect Creek that is ideal for couples (not suitable for babies / children) who are seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Enjoy a good book sitting under a shady tree or a swim in our amazing indoor pool (seasonal availability). Perhaps a glass of ‘bubbles’ on the verandah or a beer by the outdoor fire might be more your thing. Retire for the night in luxury and comfort to wake refreshed and rejuvenated. Kick back with a cup of coffee and contemplate the day The space The property is accessed through an electric entrance gate (you will be provided with a fob). The driveway leads to multiple car parking options. The renovated suite is part of the main residence but has its own front door and is completely independent of the main house. The suite offers a bedroom with a queen size bed and a separate lounge with a comfortable sofa, dining table, coffee table and tv. Both rooms have day and night blinds, independent heating / cooling and ceiling fans. The kitchenette facilities are limited (no kitchen sink, oven or hot plate). However, to assist we have provided a range of appliances including a kettle, pod coffee maker, 95 litre fridge, microwave, toaster, blender, toasted sandwich maker, air fryer, gas bbq, crockery, cutlery etc. A trolley with a washing up bowl and cleaning products is provided so using hot water from the bathroom you can wash plates and cups as you go. Alternatively, dirty dishes can be put in a plastic box, located in the hall cupboard, and left outside your front door. They will be washed and returned to you as soon as we can (this service is not always available - please check). The luxury spa style bathroom has a huge shower with a delightful view over the paddocks, a large spa bath, double sink and a seperate toilet. This area has underfloor heating, heated towel rail and a fan heater. We have a magnificent indoor pool that has its own private access via the back of the house. The pool is solar heated so it’s temperature can fluctuate especially during spring and autumn. Please feel free to check with us what the temperature is but will usually be too cold to use between about May and November . The numerous outdoor sitting areas include a newly completed private undercover bbq and sitting area and a separate area with a chiminea (fire) where you can enjoy an evening by the fire and wonder at the glorious night sky. We share our home with - Faith who is a very friendly Rottweiler and a real sweetheart who will constantly ask for pats and snuggles. Her best friend is Tilly our delightful Cocker Spaniel. If dogs are not your thing, then please let us know and we will contain them to our private area. If it is your thing, then they are amazing company and real characters who will be happy to accompany you on any local walks or just sit with you in the garden. Our horse, Bella is a grey Percheron mare who is very gentle but also very large. Unfortunately, she is no ‘lady’ and has a real issue with flatulence which is quite usual for her breed. This can be very funny as she ‘lets rip’ on a fairly regular basis so please excuse her. Bert and Ernie are our two ‘gentlemen’ goats who aren’t super friendly but become more so if there are treats to be had. We introduced some chooks to our family a little while ago but they seem to lay as and when they feel like it (but they look pretty 😂). On good days you may be able to enjoy some fresh eggs. Guest access A fob will be provided to open /close the front entrance gate. Guests can enjoy privacy in the rear garden which now has an undercover bbq and sitting area (attached to the garage), elevated north and east facing deck, swimming pool and the majority of the front garden. Other things to note We have a strict no smoking or vaping policy anywhere on the property. Our property relies on tank water and as such we would very much appreciate your consideration in helping us retain this precious commodity. The suite is designed to accommodate two people in comfort and style. In view of this we cannot host more than two people at any one time. It should also be noted the space isn’t suitable for children. No unregistered guests or visitors. This includes visitors coming to use the pool or the outdoor areas during the day. Pool Safety - No glass to be taken into the pool area and we reserve the right, in the interest of safety, to close the pool to intoxicated guests or if the area is being abused. The spa bath is great but please don’t turn the pump on until the water is completely over the jets. Also, please turn the pump off before the water has drained to avoid damaging it. Some of the outdoor spaces are shared with your hosts but you will generally have them to yourselves. If we are around home we absolutely love meeting and chatting with our guests but we understand you may just be craving privacy. We tend to be led by our guests on this matter but please don’t be afraid to indicate in your early communication what level of interaction you are comfortable with. 😀
